Best ice cream, but the portion size appears to be dwindling in shoreline shops. Confirmed by staff who have been directed by supervisors. No longer provide full scoops. Don't seem to care if customer is dissatisfied with value for their money. No longer feel like it's worth 5.00 for a cone.

Ashley's is always hit or miss with flavors. As long as they have Nutella chip I am a happy camper, otherwise it's a bit iffy sometimes with what's there. I used to think their ice cream was expensive, but not when I compare it to other places who AREN'T making it fresh, I think it's actually not bad. Great waffle... More

After having dinner at The Place, nearby, we walked to Ashley's for dessert. It was the right decision because the walk convinced us we still had room for ice cream after the large meal we consumed. If you order a sundae you are allowed 3 topping items. The hot fudge is dark chocolate that is not overly sweet. The whipped... More

I have lived in Guilford for 19 years and have frequented this business on a regular basis. The ice cream is delicious and I often order ice cream cakes for parties and celebrations. The service is usually good, especially during the day when the owner is present; at night it becomes a different story altogether. My family visited last night,... More

Family loves the ice cream they make. It is rich and creamy with the best selection of flavors. The hot fudge sauce they make is the best I have ever eaten and smelled. To die for. Stopped in on the way home from work to get the hubby a birthday cake. The ready to go cakes in the case are... More

We love ice cream and gelato. This is the best! The seasonal flavors (pumpkin in the fall, fresh strawberry in the early summer) are not to be missed. But my favorite is the bittersweet chocolate with bittersweet chocolate sauce. Yum!

While the store itself isn't too appealing -- bare bones white with cheap red furniture -- the ice cream was excellent. If you can't eat dairy, try the raspberry sorbet -- just fantastic. Loads of toppings to choose from. While we loved the food, we really hated seeing one of the staff members stand on the counter in her dirty... More

We arrived early afternoon after an hour drive to check out this place. After several minutes of listening to my family debate on the posted flavors, my 5 and 6 year old girls chose a flavor. That's when the counter girl decided to finally let us know that they weren't even selling that day the flavors listed on their board.... More

Ashley's is an institution here in Guilford. Their ice cream is the best, and it's a tradition for families to stop here after important school events. Or any events, for that matter. Chances are we'll know one of the girls working behind the cooler, and it's always fun to see them hand-pack a quart of freshly made ice cream. Our... More
