My friends and I came here last week and had a wonderful experience. The food was amazing as well as the coffee. Can’t wait to go back again🌈🙃
I ordered the bagel with lox and it was excellent. The bagel was perfectly toasted and the balance of cream cheese, tomato and lox was very good. Coffee could be a bit colder, it took me 10 minutes to be able to drink it.
Coffee and atmosphere is nice at Java Hut, but the selection of pastries is weak and the facility maintenance is atrocious. This is a two-floor café; the upstairs bathroom has had a loose toilet seat for months. The soap dispenser was ripped off the wall...months ago as well, and just sits there on the edge of the sink with no effort to replace it with something functional. The bathroom door latch also didn't work until a customer finally pointed it out to the management. Does anyone here care about the customer experience?More
Brief stop and grabbed some great coffee and tasty muffins. It looked a popular place and from looking at the menu we wished we could have stopped for lunch too.
We've only gotten hot beverages here but feel like we can make them better at home. Nothing special and seemingly out of the box.
the staff is wonderful. the location is perfect. the food is HORRIBLE. I just spent $9 for a BLT which was three pieces of bacon. Apparently the new owner charges even more than the old one. I would have loved to express myself to the...new owner but only the old owner contact is on the website. I love the people there but will never order from there again - and I am right next door. Deli Unlimited down the street charges $3.95 and is double in size. So disappointed.More
Ugh - So Disappointed. A friend constantly RAVES about Perk on Church, sadly, I cannot do the same. We arrived on a Sunday around 11:00am. It is a counter order kind of place. There was no line yet only one table was available downstairs. I...ordered a Latte that took 15 minutes to come to the table. We ordered an egg scrambled wrap, a veggie omelette, and the blueberry/raspberry crepe. The potatoes on each platter were luke warm, barely seasoned and looked like it was an effort to put ANY on the plate. The crepe was the BIGGEST disappointment. It was undercooked and the blueberries looked like they were frozen/defrosted then placed in the crepe. The service was slow and forgettable. I really tried to find SOMETHING that would make me give this place a second chance...I can’t. There are 3 locations, maybe one of the other two can put the ‘PERK’ back in your Coffee. Happy Travels.More
they will even indiviualize for you..friendly place, great food..very inexpensive..can eat outside during summer, fall... location is convenient..
My nieces had been raving about the selection of crepes here, so we decided to give it a try. Came in on a Sunday after church, the place was full, but not overly crowded. We placed orders - Lemonberry and Classic Combo (nutella, strawberry, banana)...crepes for me, and a egg/meat/cheese breakfast sandwich for him, plus coffee and tea. Upstairs seating area is cozy, we took our beverages up and waited about 10 minutes before a server brought our food. I was a bit disappointed and underwhelmed by the Lemonberry crepe....perhaps I was expecting more of a burst of flavor from the lemon, raspberry, and blueberry, but it fell short for me. There didn't seem to be enough of ANY flavor to make it worth eating, so I moved on to the Classic Combo which was perfect. I mean, you can't really mess that one up. My husband was also not very impressed by the breakfast sandwich; he said it was not bad, it just wasn't spectacular. We have gone back once since then, thinking maybe it was a bad day or what we ordered. Sadly, it was much like the first experience, and for what they charge, we were hoping to like it more. It's a nice little place to sit and chat over coffee and/or tea though, and the CC crepe is still worth the visit.More
Simple eats in a cool location - fun outdoor seating and good seating upstairs above the ground floor. It's an airplain hanger, close to the Guilford Green, which is certainly unique.
We love both Perk locations. The crepes are awesome. The gluten free crepes are also VERY good! I like to have the salmon crepe made into an egg white omelette (without the crepe). The serve potatoes and fresh fruit with your meal (the potatoes tend...to be undercooked so if you like them a little crunchy let them know). They have AWESOME coffee, and compost all food scraps. Big fans.More
If you are looking for a nice crepe, a nice cup of coffee, and to be in a relaxing environment, I would suggest Perk on Church. They have outside seating there too. All different types of crepes. Nice roomy upstairs seating too.
A good go to spot for solid coffee, danishes and crepes The servers are nice and have tables where you could sit outside in good weather. Nicely located just off the guilford green.
Stopped here looking to get a coffee New Years Day.From the outside it looks like an old curved metal building. But inside is a uniquely designed coffee/breakfast shop. Two floors to eat or have your coffee.Outdoor seating in warmer weather.I can't do the design justice. You have to...see it for yourself.I love places that show someones imagination put to use. Food/coffee was very good as well.More
