I stopped through here on my way from Maryland to Cape Cod and I liked the idea of a place where the locals eat (thanks TA) and it was close to my hotel. I love that it's an authentic, old-school diner, a little dilapidated, in an unpretentious neighborhood that doesn't scream trendy, touristy or overpriced. Service was friendly and attentive,... Decided to have breakfast a local diner and Norm's was a great choice. Typical diner stuff....fun staff, good choices and relaxed atmosphere. Good choice of food, coffee good and strong. Booth seating needs to be repaired as almost all had tears or close to worn out.

For years, when I visit the O'Neill Theatre Center, we end up late night and all night at Norm's Diner. I'll admit that this is a location we hit after long nights drinking; that's for sure, but that hasn't really tempered my affection for the place. Most of the dishes are just excellent, but I do love the breakfast grinders... More

We loved it so much we ate there three breakfasts in a row. You can get a small breakfast or have the sailors breakfast which included baked beans of all things with hash eggs home fries toast.

I had pancake sandwich. Two chewy pancakes, eggs and bacon. The eggs were excellent. Bacon okay. Pancakes - out of the freezer? No atmosphere. Cramped seating. Huge wait for food at lunch. Meatloaf grinders and fries was massive, but looked good.

We had breakfast here one morning while visiting the Groton area for a family wedding. Almost passed this one up, but noticed the parking lot was full, so you know it must be good. Scrambled eggs cooked perfectly, best home fries/breakfast potatoes I've ever had, & the coffee was very good also, Glad we stopped in!

It was very disappointing to pull into the parking lot with their 'Open' sign lit up only to find they had turned off the sign and locked the door when I walked up. It was 1:45 pm and they close at 2:00 pm but what a shame they cannot serve customers right up to 2:00. One of the employees even... More

This diner use to be wonderful and then new ownership took over and tried to change too many things and they really lost a lot of what made this place so desirable to go to. They have caught on though and brought back some of the people who knew what they were doing and the quality of the meals and... More

An authentic "silver diner" from the 50s. The food is good and reasonably priced. Service is good. Used to be open 24 hours, but not any more.

I went there in the evening to get a quick thing to eat. I had eggs with toasts and fried potatoes. The food was ok to good but I couldn't stand the taste of the toast. The oil used to cook taste old and awful. I am not sure how often it is changed. A pity as the food could... More
