Service and ambiance was good. I enjoyed my wedge salad. The bread served with olive tapenade and butter was nice. Now being that this is a steakhouse, I figured I would splurge on the ribeye. Unfortunately, my friend and I were both disappointed in our steaks. They were not tender at all. Another dinner companion had gotten the lamb dish... More

Given the location and price I expected a more appealing decor with great food. What you get is a noisy, cafeteria layout eatery. The food was not much to rave about. I had duck and my wife had scallops. The scallops were gritty with sand. The duck was ok at best, and my French onion soup was best part of... More

My husband and we're staying at the Marriott in Groton and wanted to get dinner before we checked in. We had been to the highest rated restaurant last year and were not impressed. Then we remembered the restaurant in the hotel which wasn't then listed at all on trip advisor. The meal was fantastic, service perfect, it wasn't crowded or... More

The food here was extremely good. In fact we also ate at one of the high-end steakhouse is at the casino and the quality of this food it was far better. The service was fantastic. This is located in the hotel or to the hotel, it really needs an update on decor and furniture.

Several folks had told us about the excellent food at Octagon, so we decided to drop by for drinks and appetizers to check it out. Our cilantro lime fried calamari with aioli was inedible . . . tough, tough, tough calamari, though with a nice flavor, served with avocado chunks which could have used an additional three days to ripen.... food at the buffet was good, but not an impressive spread for the $$. A little disappointing compared to the hotel overall.

Stayed at the Marriott for a weekend getaway and after a long day of sun and fun we decided to eat in at the Octagon. For a 7pm reservation the restaurant was empty and the host decided to squeeze us in between two other parties. I didn't feel like arguing so we sat. The food was very good but not... More

We were staying at the Marriot and made reservations at the Octagon....dont think that because its in a hotel, its hotel food. I had the ribeye steak with the roasted garlic balsamic sauce. Delicious. Great food. The creamed spinach was very creamy....overall highly recommend.

Thank Jason K
