Had a nice dinner here. The chicken dishes were very good. a very fine selection of wines and the menu looked good. The Caesar salad was very good and was not sure TOO clod which many restaurants do. Very good dressing.

Very good food.. nice upstairs area for large parties or groups. Expendive. A little off the beaten track being tucked in on an old post road. No real competitive restaurants nearly.

Everyone complains about the noise level inside Polpo, and we all wish they would install some noise deafening tiles. But a meal at Polpo is still a wonderful experience. The menu is strong, the wine list is excellent w many price levels, the service is knowledgeable and they are equally adept at pasta, pesce and carne. The daily specials are... More

Pleasant patio, mediocre fare, calamari was like bar food, salmon special was a tiny portion, chicken paillard was dry, rose, cost $20/bottle too much, poor value.... but a very friendly, convivial atmosphere and owner, make up for the shortcomings.

This was my first visit to Polpo and it certainly will not be my last. In fact, it could be my new favorite restaurant in Greenwich, but I will need at least one more visit. The food and service were both very good. To me, it was not noisy like some of the better Greenwich restaurants. I could actually hold... More

The best veal cutlet parmigiana,on the bone, that I have every had. And I've been to Sicily. Lol. Everything was perfect. A bit loud so don't sit next to the bar. Outside is nice, weather permitting.

Sometimes restaurants charge high prices and customers flock in. Maybe the name, maybe the old reputation, maybe tourists. But Polpo is the real deal. Consistently great with a great wine list and the prices, considering the food and service are in line.

We ate here today for a celebratory lunch. We have been dining at Polpo for nearly a decade, and have always enjoyed the menu offerings and service. Today, however, we had a very different experience. Our party of 11 had a 1pm reservation for lunch. Save another couple, the restaurant was nearly empty. Our food was acceptable, however our service... More
