Celebrated an anniversary with dinner with my spouse. Food was excellent and drinks were good. Atmosphere not the greatest for a romantic dinner as it was very loud and setup not conducive to intimate dining but still a very nice night. Had reservations and was seated within a reasonable period of time -- restaurant was very busy. Would certainly return.

Compare this place with Bricco Trattoria and they lose. Big time. Food was ordinary. From an uninspired Caesar Salad with crutons as hard as granite to lukewarm espresso, this was a major disappointment. Third time will not be a charm - as two strikes and you are out.

Went for lunch with family. Couldn't order right away because the server forgot to check on a gluten free item we had asked about. When ordering the gluten free pasta they asked if she wanted linguini, spaghetti or angel hair. She ordered the spaghetti but still got angel hair. Ordered 2 pizzas. One was super burnt which we had to... More

If you're a fan of Italian cuisine, enjoy good services and can appreciate a relaxing and comfy atmosphere I recommend you try Max Amore. It's been a while since my last visit. I had friends visiting from Texas in the mood for Italian. Good Italian. The staff at Amore didn't disappoint. Like calamari. I highly recommend their appetizer. It's fresh,... More

Every time I go here the quality of the food is excellent and the price is reasonable for what you are getting. I compare this place to Max a Mia in Avon, Bricco in West Hartford and Glastonbury, and Rizzutos in West Hartford. Max Amore stands out among these others. I realize that Max a Mia is a sister restaurant,... More

Recently I went to Max Amore for lunch with friends. I asked for a quiet table and was seated in a booth which was perfect for our visit with friends. Service was perfect- just the right amount of attention but also let us sit and visit with our friends and didn't feel at all rushed to leave. Was tempted to... More

Great little stop in on a Sunday for brunch. $20 and I had a bloody Mary (not from a bottle with fresh horseradish), yogurt parfait, prosciutto eggs benedict, and a cannoli. I with the eggs benedict had a bit more prosciutto and was a bit crispier, but the hollandaise was on point. Not too heavy and had slight citrus notes.... More

My husband went here on a Saturday. Our server, Gino, was extremely attentive and helpful. We ate outside which was very nice. My husband got the veal special which he found very good but not very exciting. He said the potatoes were delicious. I had the chicken parmesan. The chicken was very good but was not prepared in the way... More

We went with a group of ladies for a birthday celebration. We went during the week so it was not crowded or noisy in the dining area. Appetizers (meatball and soup), salads and the pies are very good. This is a casual place with good food. It is not as fancy as the downtown Max and the prices are more... More

We go whenever we are in the area. Authentic Italian and smooth drinks. Wait staff are attentive. Pepper soups are a must!
