My niece took me out to dinner for my birthday. I selected Apricots because it was once a very good restaurant and I hadn't eaten there in at least a couple of decades. The building is still beautiful and the setting lovely, but the food was horrible. My niece ordered pasta alla vodka with shrimp and the pasta arrived with... More

After my husband made reservations for a special birthday celebration, I read the latest reviews on TripAdvisor. I became very concerned that it appeared that place had gone down hill since our last visit several years ago. He insisted we go anyway. The service was great our wait person had a great knowledge of the menu and had tried just... More

I love the location of this place, right on the Farmington River. I also love the building; it’s a renovated trolley barn. The floor boards creak when you walk. Downstairs is a pub and upstairs is fine dining. They also have an outdoor patio. We had dinner upstairs as it was a special occasion. Our server, Rebecca, was excellent. She... More

Apricots used to be a high-end place, not sure what's happened lately, but went as a party of 6 on New Years Eve, for a 7PM seating, first, we all order shrimp cocktail from the limited Prix Fixe menu, they tell us they're out of it...really?-this took an hour! an hour later, we saw shrimp cocktail coming out of the... This was my first and probably last visit to Apricots. Staff takes forever to serve, I feel they should be on top of you to serve drinks, we had to waive to get attention. Food was okay, not great. I ordered a burger and I must say I had better at places that charge less. Overpriced and over rated in... More

Came in with a big party, waitresses were not attentive, took so long to do everything. Never refilled water, were not even friendly. A manager never came to check on us especially as a big party of 20 you think they would. Food wasn't bad. Super disappointing.

We visited the pub and had to move due to the hacking cough of someone with a terrible smoker's cough. Seated in another room, I moved again due to cold draft. Chopped salad was just OK, but small for the large size. Honey glazed Salmon was about the same as Whole Foods, but the quinhoa side was dead cold. We... More

We had lunch for four in the pub. It was good hearty fare, although not fancy. The prices were between $10-$15 for most entrees. The service was good, although the area around the pub was limited to roughly 12 tables in the room with the bar. It was a Saturday and the bar was suitable for children and family. We... More

We have eaten lunch at this venerable restaurant a number of times and always have enjoyed it. The location on the Farmington River is lovely, especially now with the changing leaves. There is an outdoor bar, now closed for the season, on the river. Tables on the upper level our nicer for the view, but when it is busy you... More

I had a very small wedding there and the 7 of us ordered off the menu and it was all very good. The wine list has some good choices and the menu changes with the season. You can also eat in the bar downstairs and that menu is also very good. We had a cocktail hour outside by the river.... More
