We stopped here on our way to the Berkshires. We liked it so much that we stopped again on our way back. Food was fresh and tasty. Made with quality ingredients, some of which are acquired from local farms. We ordered 2 skillet breakfasts on our first visit and a skillet breakfast and a soup and sandwich combo on our... More

We love this little cafe. It's always fresh and the fare always creative and delicious. The service is always excellent and it's a great warm atmosphere. A great meeting place!

The cars in the side of the road are a good indication of how good this place is. We happened upon it looking for a breakfast spot. All the food is fresh from local growers. Orange juice was fresh. Our omelette were AMAZING! Perhaps the best ever. In addition they came with well cooked bacon, delish hash browns and some... More

If you find yourself in this small town or in another town nearby do yourself a favor and have breakfast or lunch at Mountainside. They also serve dinner in the warmer months and though I have not yet been, I have been told it is equally good. The restaurant is lovely and the food is delicious. Everything is very fresh... More

The Mountainside Cafe is within five minutes of the Lime Rock Park racetrack and fulfills a sorely needed gap in local dining. The Cafe delivers a satisfying experience in a nicely designed space with an enthusiastic staff, and breakfast options that are delicious and fresh. Cutting to the chase...it's great. You'll be highly satisfied.

Worth the 3 hour drive from Manhattan, Albany or Boston. All food prepared with locally produced ingredients. Menu changes often. best for weekend brunch. Great staff, excellent chefs but be prepared to wait as the food is prepared to order. Go there every 2-3 times per week for lunch or dinner.

I was visiting the area and went for lunch with my daughter, who is moving nearby. She had her favorite sandwich, featuring avocado and red union; I had a great salad. The service couldn't have been friendlier. The place was clean, the offerings varied. We came back for breakfast and the omelette and potatoes were perfect--huge portion! Decent coffee, too.... My wife and I, with another couple, were in the area for a chamber-music concert at Music Mountain and reserved a table at Mountainside Cafe for a pre-concert dinner. We were all delighted with the experience. The food was high-quality, fresh and delicious. The service was friendly and accommodating. (The concert was at 6:30; the Cafe opens at 5:00; and... More

We had brunch there and ordered eggs, potatoes and toast (potatoes tasted a bit stale, like they were reheated), and waffles (also felt like they were reheated, and not freshly cooked). Overall, the quality was not up to par with the price.

I know I have a different opinion than most, but we didn't have a good experience at this restaurant. We went for breakfast and my daughter asked for french toast made with almond milk instead of regular milk. The waiter came back and said, 'no, the cook won't do it because they have a french toast mixture already made up."... More
