I've been getting food from Fin for years, and what I really enjoy about this place is consistency. They have consistently been offering some of the best and freshest sushi in the area! The service is always great also, but it's their sushi that makes me coming back.
Currently they are doing carry-out or delivery only. My daughter and I walked up and ordered, and waited maybe 10 minutes till our food was ready? She had her usual gyozas, tempura shrimp and white rice.
I went with Alburi White Tuna for appetizer (Seared white tuna with wasabi yuzu sauce and jalapeno). And for my main course, Sweet Girl Roll (tuna, salmon avocado inside top w. yellowtail jalapeno and salmon roe) and Orange Dragon Roll (spicy crunchy albacore tuna, avocado, crunchy with fatty salmon on top and citrus miso sauce). Mouthwatering stuff! So fresh, and flavors are out of this world!
Can't wait to visit again.

Extensive menu; we're not sushi people, though our friends enjoyed theirs. We enjoyed small dishes and large. Probably didn't need to order the full dinner.

Fantastic food. Ordered a full meal with a friend. Ate it all and then we ordered the whole thing again because it was so good. He had a beer. I had a water and a tea. Great service. Nice crowd. Fast service.

I walked in for lunch at 2:00 PM and told the waitress that I was expecting a freind to join me. I asked for some tea and waited. she came ten minutes later and announced they were going to close and I should order lunch right away. In order to wait for my friend I went ahead and ordered a vegetarian noodle dish, she came back 10 minutes later with chicken soup. I explained I was a vegetarian and would like my lunch replaced. She said "I am sorry the kitchen is closed now" and took away my lunch. I was also given a bill for the lunch. I paid for a lunch I never had and left.

Sushi, while very small pieces, was decent. Service was horrendous. I’ve been here three times (not sure why I’ve returned each time) and have finally had enough of their rude staff, who either lurks and rushes you, or is just downright rude. Too many other good sushi places in Fairfield Coubty to waste time or money at Fin.

Without a doubt Fin is the best place for fresh sushi around. The wait staff and the sushi chefs are always helpful in making suggestions when asked. They serve some great lunch specials daily at a fraction of the normal cost. Ideal place for a business lunch to impress your customers!

I have visited Fin several times this summer and have never been disappointed!! The sushi is the freshest in the area, by far! The place is small but the service is large! There is nothing bad I can say about this place so if you love sushi you better try Fin ASAP!

A nice and cozy place; heard about Fin for quite a while and wanted to try it. Was pretty busy at 1:30pm after lunch. Sushi and chicken teriyaki were good. Vegetables with the chicken were lukewarm though. Was less expensive than I was led to believe. Parking is easy.

Delightful experience. Staff are knowledgable and friendly. Menu is interesting and varied. Presentation is well done and the individual dishes are imaginative and delicious. Apitizers and rolls are exceptional. Restaurant is a real find.

I'm used to top level suburban sushi similar to Pink Sumo in Westport. So when I relocated to Black Rock I started the search for the best sushi in this area. People said "Go to Fin" and so I did. It ain't Pink Sumo but it was good. I ordered some dishes that patrons had photographed on Yelp. And guess what? The same dishes served me were not what these pics showed. I don't know why. Maybe I had higher expectations than I should but that's appropriate in the age of social media food reviews WHEN THERE IS PHOTOGRAPHIC EVIDENCE. Anyway, I'll return next time with a hankering for sushi because Fin is close by. But this time with lower expectations.

Visited on November 24, 2017 at 1:20 PM. Sushi was good, cut rather thin and elongated, like a thin rectangle, but good. Minimal rice under the sushi, different than most places, most places generous with the underlying white rice. Staff attentive. Parking on nearby side streets for free.

I had dinner at the sushi bar on a night where I was one of just a few people in the restaurant. I had heard Fin served the best sushi in Fairfield.
The sushi chef did get me a hamachi Kama for appetizer which was not on the menu, it was fantastic and to my surprise turned out to be the best part of my dinner. Sashimi was okay, nothing special. Eel roll was bland. Service was generally poor. The waitresses were sitting just off to the side eating dinner while I would wait to order. I'll go back again to see if my next trip is an improvement but for now I'd say there is nothing special going on here

As the other reviews have said, it is a small place. There is a small outdoor seating section with about six tables. The inside looks a little cramped but not unbearable.
The sushi was very good. We both got several pieces of sushi and a few rolls to share. We started off with a shrimp shumai. The service was excellent, they are very attentive without being overbearing. I would suggest you give it a try. We went in on a Friday night and it was not outrageously busy. If you want to great little place to get a quick luncheon or a delicious dinner, you have to try FIN.

We stopped by before visiting the museum. There was street parking. It's a small restaurant. The server was nice. We had the lunch specials that ranged from $9-$12. We had Japanese fried rice with vegetables and sushi roll tuna and salmon avocado. We also had the ramen noodle soup with chicken and quail eggs. It was a wonderful lunch.
