The pizza fragrance is in the air in the parking lot. I can't wait to get inside and order, then eat my favorite food in the world. Whether I order the original pizza or one with another add-on I'm in heaven. My grandchildren munch on the crusts in the car and fight over who will get the last piece or... More

I am disregarding the comments comparing the Fairfield location to the original in New Haven, as i have not been there in 25 years. In a vacuum, this location still makes excellent pizza. If you like it from a wood or coal oven, which has its own taste and texture, it's awesome. That said, no pizza travels particularly well, and... More

Pepe's on Wooster street is the king of the hill - well " co king " with Sally's on Wooster street! Pepes open for lunch and dinner - Anyone who loves pizza will love Pepes - not the junk that places pass off as "pie" but true hand thrown - Roaring hot - wood fired ovens - great toppings -... Pizza is almost as good as the originial Pepe's but the restaurant itself is very loud and noisy. Maybe it's the configuration, but it's hard to have a conversation even with a table of 4. Last time we were there, we boxed up the pizza after 1 slice and took it home. Waite staff is pleasant.

We stopped in on a Wednesday night hoping for that New Haven experience. Unfortunately, it did not live up to our expectations. The menu is limited just like NH, with pizza and salad only. First, we were disappointed b/c we wanted meatball topping which they didn't have on their menu. We ordered the Pepe's salad and a large 1/2 sausage.... More

Pizza was great. Arrived on a Friday at 4:30 with no wait for a table. Left at 5:30 and place still had tables for seating. Service was very attentive. I had the original pizza which was terrific! Definitely come again and try a special pie. Everyone told me the clam pie is to die for!

I have been going to Pepe's pizza for more years than I can remember. I used to go to New Haven to the original location and would wait for an hour to get in. I was happy when they opened second location in Fairfield. You still have to wait on weekends, but it is worth the wait...always.

Went at 5 PM and it wasn't busy...but we had to wait forever to get our food...ordered two pizzas...one showed up 20 minutes after the first and both required an hour plus wait...not worth the price or wait.

If you live in Fairfield County, there's no need to drive to New Haven to go to Pepe's. The Fairfield location offers the same delicious New Haven style pizzas. Usually crowded (just like New Haven) but worth the wait,

Plain tomato w/garlic--My vote-2nd would be a sausage mushroom and garlic 3rd would be the fresh tomato pie in the summer months
