My 15yr old son and I stopped for lunch while passing through Fairfield. He ordered a burrito, I had a taco combo. I love Mexican food, and can honestly say these were probably the best tacos I've had. The tortillas were super fresh and possibly...home made. The meat was not chewy and not overly salty or cheesy (as many Mexican restaurants food can be). The chips are fresh and the salsa is hot 🌶 (lots of varieties though if hot is not your jam).More

This restaurant impressed me on my second visit. Th first time I ate there I was with two friends who raved about the food, and I was tired and feeling drained emotionally, so I did not object. The place was crowded on a Saturday night...at 6:00 PM, seating was at capacity for my two friends and me, and I felt dazed and confused by their order process. The menu was extensive and if you have allergies to gluten and dairy like I do, you can find items on it that will be safe. The food was good, but I was not paying attention to the quality of the food because there was a problem with my order after waiting 20 minutes for it; it was resolved in two minutes by the owner. One of my friends from the first visit and I ate there early on a Sunday afternoon in August, and it was impressive. I tried a new menu item that was different from my first visit, and it was incredible. Well cooked food with a beautiful presentation in the basket, and no lines for the salsa bar. The salsa bar was a pleasant experience with a wide choice of salsas, cleanliness, and staff assistance with questions as they were refilling the salsas. This visit, the staff came to the tables to check on satisfaction with food, service and customer needs. What is impressive is the owner was present at both visits, taking orders at the counter, resolving order concerns, and at tables asking diners about their meals and helping families with young children. I will definitely go back. Good value and caring staff.More

Stopped to have a quick late dinner at Señor Salsa on our way to Orange. The restaurant is a small takeout restaurant with sit in area. The food we ordered was served quickly and it was very appetizing with your choice of condiments as you...like. There is no table service so you order and your order is called as it is complete. You sit at a table taking utensils, napkins and you fill your drinks from the fountain. The menu selection is varied and all delicious from the six orders we placed. Not a fancy place but the food makes up for it more than tenfold.More

At the price point, You really can't go wrong. Most items are all under ten dollars. The veracruz burrito is delicious. I also like the nachos, steak chili, and taco salad. The salsa bar is a plus also. I highly recommend the mango salsa and...avocado cream salsa. Service is quick and efficient. Give it a try. Equally as good as The Westport location.More

I was back in the area and stopped here for an early dinner. Walking in, you go to the counter to place your order. They have several tables for dining inside or you can take out. The place was packed and there was a line...of people waiting for their orders. I ordered the Baja fish tacos with rice and beans ($9.75). They gave me a number, so I sat down after stopping at the salsa bar to fill up some cups with different salsas. My number was called about 10 minutes later. The plate had two large tacos filled with big chunks of grilled fish. Beside the rice and beans, I had a small basket of chips. I was pleased with my meal and will definitely return.More

Stopped in here for a weekday lunch around noontime. You order at the counter and then can takeout or sit down in their seating area. The place gradually got busier and busier as the lunch rush came in, many people taking their orders to go...but a good amount staying to eat in. I ordered the grande burrito and my husband ordered the California burrito. Both were excellent and we were very happy with our decision to come here!More

This is a great casual place where you go up to the counter to order and then sit at one of a dozen or so tables. They have a good selection of burritos, salads, etc and the food is prepared fresh and comes out quickly....Prices are reasonable and the staff are friendly. Only complaint is the parking. They have about 12 parking places. That's it. Sometimes you can park on the street but not often. If there aren't any places to park I have to eat somewhere else, which is disappointing.More

I’ve eaten here plenty of times over the years and it’s always delicious and fast. Great variety of salsas and toppings. food is generously portioned for the price. It’s a nice option for when you can’t be bothered to cook.

I never was tempted to try Señor Salsa until a colleague suggested it for our 30 minute lunch. It is fast & it is fresh. I’ve since eaten at both locations (Westport & Fairfield). Everyone is friendly and pleasant. I’ve had the Chili Lime Salad...& the Vera Cruz burrito! DELICIOUS! Hope to try the margaritas next visit!so sorry I waited so long to give it a try! This place won’t put a hole in your wallet!More
