had high hopes, but was a little disappointed. i had a supa de pesce which was ok, and my baby mama had broiled scallops that were crazy salty. we aren't the type to send food back, so we powered through. would come back, and try different dishes as we have heard really good things about this spot. could have been... This place has the perfect atmosphere. It's cozy and comfortable while still providing a upscale dining/drinking experience. Drinks are buy one get one free and the bar menu is unbelievably cheap - $1 sliders! I am definitely returning for dinner to try the pumpkin ravioli. Love this place.

Best happy hour in Fairfield County, possibly in the world. Staff is awesome and there is always a good crowd.

After several years of ignoring the busy bar on the corner the family finally made it to the Old Post Tavern on a quiet end of summer Sunday evening. I was pleasantly surprised to find a well rounded menu offering both carnivores and pescetarians many good selections served in an unpretentious dining room heavy on mid 20th century East Coast... We finally got in after long lines due to the recent opening. Wow, it was so worth the wait. It was amazing! The service, the menu variety. I want to go back tomorrow! We sampled the sliders, wings, pulled pork, chicken cheese steak and chicken quesadilla and all were wonderful. The quesadilla came with a cilantro, lime sour cream....OMG, so... More

Located in Fairfield just down from TMS on the corner where the movie theater once was, the Old Post Tavern has almost transformed itself into a high end dining experience. I have looked high and low for a good seafood paella since it disappeared from a restaurant just over the border a while back. Haven't found one. Until now. Nestled... More

Last week three friends and I tried the Tavern for lunch. Frankly, I was just expecting "bar food". But, to our great surprise, the food was sensational. At the suggestion of the very accommodating Maitre d' / captain, Angel Sanchez , we left it up to the chef as to what to prepare for the two course luncheon. All served... More

From being seated to leaving, a pleasant, enjoyable meal and experience. Service staff all knowledgeable and pleasant. The Hostess very accommodating and paying attention. Our Waitress, the same and she carried on a nice conversation.
