The pleasant casual atmosphere and wonderful waitstaff make dining here a pleasure. Accommodating our group of 12 without missing a beat. So nice for a change to have high quality seafood and great service. Definitely going back as the New England clam chowder, stuffed clams and fried shrimp were delectable. Great Italian bread too from Apicella's.

We were in the mood for seafood being on the shore and went to the Sandpiper which was close to where we were visiting. It had 4/5 stars so we decided to try it. The restaurant is located across the street from the sound, so you can see the ocean if you decide to sit on the patio. They also... More

Went to the Sandpiper for the first time and was totally pleased. The service was excellent and the food was great. Had the fried shrimp and clam strips which were fresh and delicious. Rhode Island clam chowder was also delicious. Would definitely recommend!

We waited a short while Saturday evening and then were st outside on the covered porch, which was very nice. I had the calamari. Not bad, not too greasy, nothing special. Others at the table had lobster rolls with minimal flavor and plain, soggy buns. Pretty good wine our. Would we return? No.

Best seafood around. Live the fried food, especially the fried shrimp. I highly recommend the Sand Piper.

/Ice cream/Fried Seafood little place across from the East Haven Beach. Half the prize is that its directly across from a beach with no concessions. My son wanted chicken tenders and fries, so over we went. About 6 tables out front, half the umbrellas were closed in the burning hot sun on a Wednesday around 2 and most were full... More

Our first time going here was to have dinner during the week. The restaurant decor was nice and we didn't have to wait too long to be seated. Wait staff was pleasant and helpful. We all ordered shrimp platters which were pretty good. We did not have to wait long for our food to arrive and the bill was not... More

Excellent peel and eat and fish tacos- our favorites. Lively atmosphere, eat in or out, great service, music in background and no one minded when we got up to dance!
