The service was ok and the food was ok too. Nothing out of ordinary. The place is slightly old though and doesn't look very well maintained.
We tried the chicken drumsticks for appetizers which tasted good, the chicken was a bit cold though...not properly reheated. The veg kuttu paratha was ok. Could have been a bit more spicier. The chitoor Chinese noodles was ok, quite spicy. Unfortunately our sever did not ask for the spice level...so each of our entrees ended up with different levels of spice.
Ok choice if you are hungry for some Indian food, else would maybe skip. Not sure if there are other good ones around...not been in the area much.

A few friends and I ordered food from here, and we all had wildly different experiences with the food. They forgot to give us our naan (which was clearly printed on the receipt), so the ordering company gave us credit towards a future order. My husband I were OK with our food, but we have a higher tolerance for spicy food. My friends had requested that their meals be extremely mild, and neither friend could eat their food because they found their food extremely spicy. I tried their food, and it wasn't *too* hot, but it wasn't extremely mild, either. I think that in the future, we would need to go to the restaurant in person to order, as we've been to other Indian restaurants that can accommodate more limited palates.

Carry out, ordered the Vindaloo (requested spicy, 4/5 hot) and naan.
Everything was hot when I got it home. Naan bread was excellent. And the vindaloo was truly spicy as requested. Large, plentiful chunks of chicken and potatoes. Price was decent. No screw ups on the order. Glad I found these folks as I’m me to Connecticut. Would recommend them for no B.S Indian.

I visited Godavari for a weekday dinner and the place was almost empty. I tried their Veg samosa served with mint chutney which was good in taste. In main course tried their Mysore delight masala dosa which was tasty and the accompaniment chutneys and sambhar are worth trying at least once. However even when there were hardly any customers the service was very slow and it took us 2 hours at the place.

Visited recently for New Year, food was very bad. Added much salt in all the items and not able to eat. Though we get multiple choices, you can not take much due to heavy salt and bad taste, I supposed to manage with salads though we paid $40 for 2 heads.
It was buffet but this is the only restaurant that I saw who serves cheque expecting Tip that is another wasteful Burdon apart from the overpriced lunch.

Visit #2: Menu has fake info. It says "homemade noodles" but it was pre-packaged noodles that didn't even taste homemade. I wasn't offered a refund and not called back when they said I'd be. I noticed their menu still contains this false info. Visit #1: They also ignored us on our previous visit (I eat out a lot and have almost never had that level of bad experience where our plates weren't cleared for over an hour and much more). So, the most I can give them is 1* at this point.

Wow! My husband and I love this place! Buffet gives a good selection. We normally get take out food for the week. The food is very spicy and delicious. I love the gongura mutton, and the tandoori chicken is also excellent. We've tried maybe a dozen or more items and really enjoyed them.

The lunch buffet at this large Indian restaurant near the exit for I 84 is quite extensive, including several chicken dishes plus a couple of lamb offerings, but unfortunately, even though we arrived right at opening time, nothing was hot. All of the dishes were tasty, and there were plenty of choices, but there is no reason why they couldn't keep the food hot. We were very disappointed despite the reasonable price of $15 for the meal.

I am privileged enough to work with families who are of Indian decent and recommended this location to me. They assisted in ordering many (sooooo many) options to meet my dietary restrictions (vegan). I left feeling more full than I have ever felt before. I cannot say enough good things about this restraint, the service and the quality of the food and atmosphere!

I have gone to Godavari only two times so far - the day they opened and about 2 weeks ago on a Saturday. The place was just as crowded on that Saturday as it was a year ago when it opened! My son and I had the buffet and it really surpassed my expectations with more items available than I remembered from a year ago. The variety of food was A+There were items that were available that I hadn't seen or eaten before at other Indian Restaurants. They had goat and chicken and more, and of course, a ton of vegetarian items. I especially liked the beet dish they had. The ambience was great as they had Bollywood type music playing in the background. There are pictures of famous Bollywood stars on the walls. You know you are at a good Indian restaurant when so many people of Indian Ancestry are also at the restaurant. The staff was attentive and I had a really excellent meal!

We were here after a hectic day visiting the waterfalls and mountains of Massachusetts and Connecticut and were really hungry. I am a fan of South Indian cuisine but i prefer buffets because there are multiple items to chose from. Since we came for dinner we ordered gobi 65 for appetizer and chicken tikka masala, hyderabadi chiken dum biryani, malai kofta, old city veg dum biryani, butter naan, hyderabadi roti and chapati for main course since we were a mix of vegetarians and non vegetarians. The malai kofta was good but the kofta could have been better. The chicken tikka had a chunky taste but some pieces were rather hard. I am not a fan of dum biryani but since we were hungry everything is ok. Service was very fast and the server very courteous and attentive.

To start with, I just love South Indian food and for that I love Godavari food. I had both Lunch Buffet and take away from there. For the brunch, they always have so many items that either you will regret that you could not try all of them or regret that you actually tried all of them (you are so much stuffed!). There are multiple items that I love, the sambhar, medu vada, goat curry, Their Hyderabadi Mutton Dum Biriyani is just awesome.

One of my friend suggested me this restaurant. He said it's good in South Indian food but I like both south as well as North Indian food. Therefore when I went there I ordered 1 paneer dosa, 1 chicken lollipop and 1 chicken biryani. Firstly after a while I have seen any Indian restaurant entirely full. It's good we got a table otherwise we might have to wait. Secondly the staff was very active and soft spoken. Every thing I ordered came on time, otherwise I have seen in restaurants that even if you get a seat, if restaurant is full, you get your order little late whereas here I didn't observe this. And lastly and most importantly the food, it came with a good presentation, it's quantity was good and everything tastes good.
