was a bit confused tonight when we went for our monthly dinner at Barbaries.. Walked in and we were not greeted by one of the friendly guys that usually greats us and welcomes us, instead we were "greeted" and I use that word loosely by a female... Wearing jeans, cell phone hanging out of back pocket, covered in tattoos---and was... More

Had a reservation for 8pm and were welcomed by friendly staff. Ordered starters / appetisers. When ordering main waiter told us they were out of prime rib!!! This is their signature dish and to run out on a Saturday night at 8pm was incredible to me??? We had ordered our starters so could not leave plus it was a friends... More

We recently moved to the area and started eating at Jim Barberie's on a regular basis. This place is the best of the best...been around over 40 years! Anthony always greets us with a smile and a handshake. The service here is like no other...and the food is top notch! We have never been to a place that treats you... More

I met my girlfriend at Jim Barberie's at 5:30 PM on Monday, July 11, 2016. We were greeted promptly and courteously and brought to our choice of a table or booth. We chose a booth. Right away, the waitress came over to take our beverage order. We both ordered a glass of Pinot noir. It was a house wine, and... More

The place was large and busy but the host seated us quickly and the server was great. The clam chowder was wonderful but the panko covered scallops were just ok. It was a nice place but the next time I would try another dish.

Since we moved to the South, we had not been there in many years. Really not much had changed. The food was ample and good. Service was a bit slow since they were very busy. Fun to return to one of favorite places after a long absence.

We came to Danbury for the Elephant's Trunk flea market and were looking for somewhere casual to eat. We chose Jim's off of the reviews and thank heavens we did. While we were completely comfortable in very casual attire, the service and food was absolutely 5 star!! Pedro is an exemplary waiter and the scallops were beyond belief. I couldn't... More

You get a nice house salad, choice of eight entrees and excellent rolls for $14.99. enough to eat without eating too much. Nothing fancy, but good, solid food for a great price until 7pm. Family run forever - father to son to son and now, cousin. Works for us for an easy midweek night out. Friendly wait staff have been... More

My husband and I were among 15 guests at a Surprise Party for a dear friend. As each guest arrived, our server, Lisa, offered drinks cordially and with humor. She was attentive and pleasant throughout the event and that added to the pleasure of attending. Our first course was a very tasty salad. The main courses were Chicken Piccata, Sliced... More
