The food here was excellent! Overall thought it was slightly pricey but the environment and food itself was wonderful. Jamar (one of the hotel's chefs) I had the pleasure of meeting on a personal level and cannot express how exceptional his culinary talent was and...impressed on his abilities. If you'd like a terrific meal, definitely would recommend 21 Lake Restaurant & Bar.More

We went for the Sunday buffet, basically many choices for appetizers and deserts and a choice for the entree. Good for the moderate price. Misleading in the ad, however, is the choice to add alcohol beverages at $4 per person. The choice is extremely limited...to mixed concoctions which are basically sugar and water and some bubbles. Great classical music in the dining room. A real plus.More

We ate at the bar. The bartenders, Robert & Lee, were talented and extremely competent.. 21 Lake carries premium liquors, wine, and beers. We ordered off both the bar menu and the restaurant menu. The bar ribs were fantastic! The sweet potato fries were made...in house and flavorful and crispy. My wife had the portobello burger and loved it.More

I went there with my wife for dinner. We had never been there before so did not know what to expect. We were very pleased with what followed. The menu had many enticing choices. My wife chose the ribs. I had the fried seafood dinner....Both dinners were very tasty and cooked to perfection. Portions were gigantic. We find it common for restaurant portions to be large enough to provide take home leftovers for an additional dinner. The leftovers that we brought home will provide at least 2 additional dinners for us.More

They accomodated our group of 12 cousins with warmth and great service. The manager went out of his way to make the dinner special. We had the whole dining room to ourselves. Looked like lots of others were eating in the bar (which is great,...too). Our food and wine were perfect (as were my cousins). The amazing thing was the price. Like the hotel itself, the dinner was an excellent value. The breakfast buffet is a good value in a lovely setting, again with wonderful service.More

My wife and I enjoy visiting 21 Lake Restaurant when looking for a nice enjoyable place to dine. The Lounge is a comfortable environment with great food and service. their chicken wings are outstandingly juicy along with top notch Nachos for appetizers. The 21 lake...burger will certainly not disappoint. They have a great selection of craft beers (of which the Sea Hag is my favorite) and the Litchfield Bourbon is now one of my go to bourbons. The excellent bartender (Robert) is efficient and knowledgeable about his products. His recommendations are spot on. I would highly recommend 21 Lake to those looking for a nice lounge to relax and dine.More

Food and service was excellent. My family and I were in town over Labor day weekend. Found ourselves catching a late dinner at 21 lake. Food was fresh and to the table in a timely manner. Would highly recommend 21 lake.

To make things clear, I am not writing this review solely based on food, service, etc. I would like to target specifically on the management of 21 Lake Restaurant. Upon my arrival, I instantly noticed how fast, focused, and professional staff are. They were clearly...doing their jobs and doing them stupendously. After sitting down and deciding what I wanted to order, I kept noticing a tall, colored male bursting out of the kitchen multiple times, and screaming and flailing his arms very contentiously at the staff. This gave me a very unsettling feeling, due to the fact that the staff also seemed very agitated and baffled. This male continued to come out of the kitchen and give orders very aggressively, and it came to my attention that several other guests and customers kept glancing at him, as well as I was. I waved for a waiter, (I do not recall his name) and questioned him about this man and who he was. From our quick talk, I found out that this man is named Jamar, and he was the new manager for the 21 Lake Restaurant, and even worse, it was his first day. I got a very uneasy feeling after hearing this, thanked the waiter, and tried to forget about the situation. No matter how much I ignored his hollering, there was no way to escape the rudeness of this ¨new¨ manager. I was very disgusted that a manager would treat his staff this way. If he treats them as awful as he does in front of customers, I don't even want to imagine the way he treats them when no one is around. He spoke to them and ordered them around as if they were slaves; its 2019, I thought we were past that. I decided to leave a bit early because I could not sit there any longer. My heart broke for the kind hearted staff here at 21 Lake Restaurant. I hope this review can cause some changes, because no person, no matter what they did, should ever be spoken to the way Jamar speaks to them. It is clear that something needs to be done, such as termination towards this man. P.S, I will be posting about this situation on social media, in order for people looking for jobs to know they should not choose to work here, because they will be treated as slaves.More

Scrambled eggs were wet. Bacon seemed less cooked than I like. Waffles were cold and hard. Butter was like a brick.

My wife and I went for dinner but we stopped in the bar for happy hour instead. We sat at the bar and had a great meal and conversation with barkeeps Robert and Tom. We watched the ball game and talked about bourbon and wine....We have been back several times and are remembered by name and drinks. Nice touch from the staff.More

I have noticed that most people are dressed in nice casual attire. Every once in awhile someone wears jeans to this event and looks out of place. The Sunday Brunch is a very nice event. Every table is covered in linens and... More
