This unassuming restaurant is a favorite with all locals. There is always immediate seating because it is surprisingly large and does not look it from the outside. The staff is prompt and attentive. The food is on a par with any asian restaurant in New York City without a doubt. We have been there several times for lunch and dinner and... More

I've tried really hard to like this place, but with other local competition it just doesn't meet the par. It's hibachi room is in an odd location maybe an addition but it's always cold in both temperature and presence. They always have coupon stipulations that are so ridiculous it's a turnoff. Over a few dollars, really? Not a great place... More

Although we had a little trouble communicating (not so unusual at Asian places of business), our server was VERY accommodating, especially in that i am vegan and need to leave chicken stock out of everything. The food (curried tofu and vegetables) was excellent, as was the ginger dressing for the salad. I even ordered a second on to go. Prices... More

The food was pretty good but I don't enjoy a meal that I have to wear my coat. We went for lunch on a Sat. and the dining room was cold, lunch took an hour and a half and it didn't warm up much.

Dined with family for a birthday party. We had hibachi for 5 on a non busy Wednesday night. Chef was entertaining, with a wry humor. Had shrimp and scallops- decent enough but not anything special. Soup very bland and salad decidedly not neo Asian - iceberg lettuce drowned in some creamy dressing. Ok dining experience.

Shame on me for ordering Pad Thai because this is not a Thai restaurant but it was on the menu, so why not. Well why not? It did not taste like Pad Thai. The flavor was off and the noodles were clumpy. The Asian grilled chicken was dry and there were only 2 asparagus spears but kudos to the miso... More

Both the food and service were wonderful. Presentation of the Sushi rolls was beautifully done. I highly recommend this place.

A group of us decided to go to Koo for hibachi. We had enough for two tables so the chef worked in the middle. He was very entertaining and quite funny. As always, the food was good regardless of what we ordered. A definite keeper.

The sushi was good, the chicken with cashews was just Okay. The service was really lacking. Every time you want something it was necessary to flag down a server. They did not look to see if you needed anything & did not offer to refill water or soda or tea. They took the soy sauce & never brought it back.... More

So, my daughter just loves this place. Food is always oksy, but my daughter wants the shiw. Thus last visit, our "Chef" was as disinterested as he could be...like he wanted to be anywhere but there. He never smiled, did almost no show and the cooked ...mostly with his head down. No interaction with the patrons at the table.....boring! Fortunately... More
