We used to love this restaurant - visiting at least once a month. But, sadly it has gone south. Last night I had escargot to start. While the escargot themselves were great, the richness of the butter and garlic was lacking. And had to ask for the bread the menu said they came with. Entree was scallops. They came out perfectly browned, but lacking in taste-think they were dry broiled. Wife had salmon which was good, but drowned in a heavy teriyaki sauce that overpowered the fish. Veges were cold. One of the people had the duck which looked amazing.

The food is still great with so many great choices. But, we were one of 3 tables and one left right after we were seated. We had to wait a long time to order drinks and then food. Water and bread were asked for many times before it came. They aren't busy and I can see cutting staff, but how can a waiter and assistant not keep up with 2 tables? Maybe they have to cook and do the dishes? Whatever - no excuse on the last 3 visits. Also they had to be reminded Tuesday is half price wine night when the bill came and we didn't get the discount. The food is great, but service brought it from 5 to 3 stars.

The food was good, the service was horrendous. We ate there last night. Drinks were delivered one at a time 10 minutes apart. Wait staff seemed uninterested. Quite unfortunate as the food was tasty but the poor service ruined the experience.

This place is awful. My wife and I went here for Mother’s Day today, we booked a reservation days in advance. Despite the reservation, we waited half an hour for a table; they were very disorganized. After finally being seated we waited 15 minutes for drinks and then over 30 minutes for our waitress to take our order. After she took our order she said she was leaving the restaurant for the day, mid-service. We waited ANOTHER HOUR before I waved a different waiter over asking about our food. He went back to check, came back and reported she never placed our order, and that she “is sick and went home”. We walked out hungry with nothing but an apology. There were half a dozen other tables near us also waiting for food that had been there longer than us. This is my wife’s first Mother’s Day and this will be a lasting negative impression. Do not eat here!

Service was very slow with workers dressed in workout cloths for a gym. Food was mediocre and portions were small. Clearing table was slow and not complete. Plates and bottles were stacked on wall nearby, Drinks were nothing noteworthy

7 pm on a Saturday with only 4 tables of diners which bumped up to 6 as the evening progressed, but there was no turn around or new arrivals~and for good reason. RIDICULOUSLY overpriced. Ambiance is dated and not stimulating. The patrons are 60+. The food portions are minuscule $18 margaritas are the "allowed" one ounce pour and not a drop more. It took the server 3 tries to get the drinks right. She developed a noticeable attitude that lingered through the meal until we were slammed with a $400+ bill for one of the most tragic evenings in a very long time. In retrospect, we wished we hadn't tipped her the 18% as the meal and server were both undeserving. We ordered the octopus appetizer and got 3 two inch pieces~for $18.50!! It was supposed to come with "crispy leeks"...I found one crunchy rice sized morsel, that I was uncertain even belonged on the dish, or was left over from the deep fryer, and mistakenly made it onto the plate. The $14 6 escargot were shriveled, came without the shell, without the roasted tomatoes, without manchego cheese, and came with three 2x2 pieces of bread~there were 4 of us. I had to cut one of the pieces in half so that we could each have some. I could easily purchase a can of escargots for $9 and have enough to feed 4. Disgraceful. $13 Shishito peppers~we received 8. Oysters were decent sized only because we requested larger ones. $20~"Crispy" half duck consisted of a large dinner plate with a tiny cornish hen~sized NON "crispy" leg section and thigh, 2 strands of asparagus, 4 pieces of a diced potato. $9 truffle fries came on a saucer and were smaller than a McDonalds small sized fries. McDonalds fries have these beat by a long shot.I believe I counted just about 20. The only good thing about this place is that they remembered that it was a Birthday celebration and brought a slice of chocolate mousse cake~"on the house". The cake was very good, but by that time we were already too frustrated to appreciate it. We are not "super sized" eaters and left hungry and financially violated. ANYONE who gives this place more than 2 stars is either a catatonic "glutton" for punishment, has never eaten in a good restaurant or has been paid to do so by the establishment. It's time for Coast to COAST. Never, ever, again.

Came here many years ago and liked it, but never returned for some reason, but tried it again with friends a couple of weeks ago. All four entrees - scallops, duck, sole and pappardelle were amazing. We went again a week later and same thing. Bronzino, Boullabaisse, Fish/Chips and Squid Ink Pasta were all top notch. Service is very good, portion size was good and the food came fairly quickly, but we weren't rushed. Prices - given it's fish, decent sized portions and perfectly prepared are reasonable. My wife has now been 4 times in 3 weeks. Yes it is that great.

The bread that was sent to the table appeared to be stale and rewarmed. The beet salad appetizer was very good. Scallops were stringy and chewy, although they were highly recommended by our waiter. We sent them back although the insinuation was it was our issue because no one else complained. I found this to be insulting as I frequently order scallops in other restaurants and they are cooked to perfection. I had cautioned the waiter when our order was taken to be sure the scallops were cooked properly. My attempt to assure there were no issues in advance, fell on deaf ears. Service was disorganized. The waiter never checked to see if everything was acceptable so my uneaten dinner was cold before I could flag down another waiter who took my plate away yet did not provide a resolution. Finally, the manager appeared. In fairness, the dinner was replaced with filet of sole which was well prepared. My dining partner had completed his meal before I received mine. The duck he ordered was average and a bit overdone. We decided to try Coast again after a poor experience a few years ago. Overall we were disappointed. We really wanted to like it because we live close by.

Spectacular birthday dinner for my son. Food was amazing. We had the Angus Filet mignon as well as the lobster seafood squid ink pasta and dove sole (special of the day). The steak was prepared perfectly and the seafood dishes were great! I highly recommend.

Will not speak for the other couple - although they said they would not go back…. Not sure how they are in business. Tuna was signature and was COLD! The filet was tiny and tasted like stew meat- which I have never encountered. Fries barely accompanied and cold. Practically empty (clue #1). Kid there at 8:30 (clue #2). Empty liquor bottles on display (#clue #3) out of many main dishes (clue #4). Service was good. But mind you was empty and the filet was $45 for nothing. Went to McDonalds on the way home. We were starving. Absolutely awful. So sad to say.

We used to eat here a lot, but the food and service went downhill and we didn't vist for 6 months. Last night, the food and service were near perfection. We started with the Beet Salad which was great and then had the special Bronzino for entrees. The fish was cooked well to a crispy bronze. It was accompanied by roasted potatoes and roasted Brussels Sprouts tossed with Parmesan.

I noticed the mixed reviews so I was a little hesitant to go here. What I found was a very nice restaurant with a wonderful staff and beautiful ambience. I had no complaints or fear after I walked in. I had the fish that was a chef special (Branzino). This had a lemon butter caper sauce over roasted brussels sprouts and fingerling potatoes. It was out of this world good. Also had a wonderful spinach salad with Gorgonzola and candied walnuts. I tried their tiramisu which turned out to be one of the best I’ve ever had. I would highly recommend this restaurant without reservation. It totally baffles me why there are some reviews that were negative. They must be X wives or something of that order

This was our first visit to Coast Seafood. Upon walking in we were a bit apprehensive about what our experience would be like. That apprehension was put to rest from the moment we received a warm greeting with a 'thank you for coming to my restaurant.' Our cocktails were perfect. My wife had one of, if not the best cosmopolitan martini she's ever had. Come to find out it is the owners specialty drink. The pan-fried beef goyza dumplings served as a wonderful starter. For entrees, I opted for the filet of sole that was very tasty. My wife had the special of the day, Chilean sea bass that was absolutely incredible. Lucky me, she could not finish it, so I got to do the honors. Unfortunately, we did not have room for dessert. The service was excellent with every need promptly tended to. We are very happy that we dined Coast Seafood. Next time we find ourselves back in Greenwich, CT we'll be returning for another excellent dining experience.

Everything was good, but they could easily get to 5 stars. We have eaten here many times and they have great days and average days. We did Sunday brunch with friends this visit. Service was good, but when we were ordering, were told they out of 2 entrees we ordered, They should have said that before we decided what were ordering. Food was good.

Ordered for pick up. Arrived when the app said would be ready, 30 minutes.. Was told the kitchen was busy so 20 mins late. Only 2 tables seated in restaurant. 1 server. No bartender. Ordered a drink. Eventually someone made it. 30 minutes went by. No one else came in. No other customers came in for orders. Asked for my order. Asked for my order again. They got short with me, not apologetic. I was waiting for 2 salads and fish and chips btw. Should not be thar hard. Finally arrived. Zero apology. Wouldnt look me in the eye. Learn some customer service.
