Growing up in Waterbury, there are a few things that remind me of my childhood. A few places that have been here for a very long time and some of them are businesses that have stood the test of time and are still thriving today. A few of these childhood memories are the Cross at Holyland, the clock tower at... More

My dad used to bring us here as kids and its still every bit as good as I remember it. The hot dogs here are my favorite anywhere. The hot relish just makes them even better. If you find yourself anywhere near Blackies you owe it to yourself to check it out

No nonsense place for really good hot dogs. Grab a quick bite or sit down and relax. You can do either here.

Hot dogs are king at this long time (88 years) roadside restaurant but the hamburgers are great as well. A couple of quirks: closed on Fridays and no fries.

Blackies is know for its hot relish. But, it's not all to rave about. They use Hummel hot dogs which are good. But, you can buy those in the store yourself. They are just cooking them for you. Plenty of other hot dog stands around. I never understood the huge attraction to the place.

Stopped by for 1st time in over a year. Same as usual - super fast friendly service and the best relish on earth. Please do not change a thing !!

I have been going to Blackie's for 50 years. My Dad took us there since we were kids, and I took my kids there. They only take cash so be prepared. They have a hot relish that is NOT sweet and is excellent. The menu is very basic, hot dogs and burgers, soda, milk shakes and chips, no fries. Although... More

Always busy but never a wait. Unduplicated. Don't miss the jalapeño relish. There's rarely a time I go by there without stopping in for one of their great hot dogs. Fries are good too.

Blackie's has been around the Cheshire community like forever. It's your typical roadside stand , severing hot dogs, hamburgers, fries and, beverages.. The is indoor seating , but very limited space.

The building is not fancy, the selection of food very limited, but if you are a hit dog lover, Blackies has the best hotdogs! They are famous all over the United States for their relish, but I love the hotdogs with the spicy mustard they use and always have a nice cold birch beer soda with them. Delicious! Of course,...
