With the current situation we have been careful with meals. But it's been difficult as we needed the best pizza around. I ordered the large shrimp (red) and my wife had an eggplant small. My sons had the chicken parmigiana with linguine. To say we...were happy, was an understatement. The pizza was amazing and my sons were more than happy with the dinners. The wait was too long but thankfully it exceeded our expectations. Of course we will be returning again, and now that the dining room is open, our next trip will be in house.More

Lived in town for 25 years, and this is the best pizza in Cheshire. The "plain" pizza is marina sauce and grated cheese.

Authentic! The pizza that I ordered, Sicilian style, was outstanding. The only thing that I could maybe compare it to, is a really good pizza from either New York City or Boston. Dough has a beautiful balanced taste. Sauce has an authentic European touch. Cheese...and toppings are fresh and delicious. During the Covid19 pandemic, take out at the counter is what's available. Staff is very efficient. I can see why there are so many positive reviews. I highly recommend this restaurantMore

I was in Cheshire hiking with a friend and we decided to grab a bite afterward. It was about 8:30 p.m. and most restaurants were about to close so we were in a quandary about where to go. A fellow in the parking lot recommended...this place and we saw that it was open until 10:00 so we decided that was the spot. I'm glad the other places were closed because otherwise we may have missed a really great pizza. We got a medium casino, white, with mushrooms instead of peppers. It was fabulous. They even gave us some paper plates so we could eat out in the parking lot. Great people and one of the best pizzas I've had.More

I won’t beat around the bush. I grew up on Rossini’s pizza. My grandparents lived right up the street and we’d drive in from Hamden to have dinner with them every Sunday. Nine times out of ten, we’d order Rossini’s. I can still hear my...grandpa’s voice. He’d ask the same question every time: “What are we gettin’ tonight? Pizza or dinners?” Honestly, it’s a tough choice! The thick-crust pizza is mouth-watering, and if I decide to get a pie, then I’ve gotta decide which one to get! Usually it comes down to sausage and peppers, bacon and tomato, or the Rossini’s Special. You can’t go wrong with any of them. The toppings are generous, there’s a perfect amount of top quality mozzarella, and the sauce... man, is that sauce good. We’d often get containers of sauce on the side with out takeout to make our own Italian dishes during the week. It’s a thinner sauce than you might buy in the store, but the flavor cannot be beat. I also appreciate the fact that their pizza dough isn’t sweet like a lot of other local places. I have no idea why sweet pizza dough is a thing. Maybe they’re trying to hide the fact that they’re not Rossini’s. In any case, the dough is savory, and the crust has a thin crispy layer on the outside and it’s chewy in the middle. It’s perfect every time. I have no idea how they do it. Oh right, the dinners! You’d think a place that crafts a perfect pizza would probably not focus much on their entrees, right? Ha! See, this is why it’s hard to choose! When you’ve got pizza that good, but also a lasagna to die for, ravioli stuffed with their own amazing ricotta, and even some fantastic northern Italian chicken dinners... it’s not fair! There’s too much good food. Basically what I’m saying is, open their menu, put on a blindfold, and point to a random spot. Whatever you land on will be a good choice.More

With the current situation that everyone is dealing with, it has been quite difficult for us the attempt takeout. With things appearing to slightly improve, we finally decided and our first choice was Rossini's. We wanted pizza and they have the best. We ordered three...large pizzas (cheese, eggplant, and bacon & onion). We called ahead and also paid, which was great. We arrived, called again and they were more than happy to deliver to our car. We got home and could not wait to eat. The pizza was amazing and did not disappoint. We ordered extra to freeze for later. The family that runs the business is terrific and the pizza is the best in town, hands down.More

Yes Rossini's is right across from Strollo's and has the best pizza in Cheshire. People come from out of town for it.
