Our group of friends both enjoy breakfast and lunch. I looked for places that a good selection of both. The cafe serves breakfast until 11:30, and starts serving lunch at 11. Since 2 of us rarely go out early, breakfast won There was an excellent selection of omelettes and benedict (poached). All kinds of potatoes (including sweet potato). I had... More

First time here with a couple friends who said the food was amazing. Took 10 mins to get menus and another 10 mins to get 4 waters. Had to flag the waitress down to get a refill. My boyfriend had Oj, and when she brought it, it was warm. We told her and she seemed uninterested. Thank goodness the food... More

Village Cafe and Bistro in Canton Village is a "greasy spoon". I've been going for breakfast every other Friday for several years with a few fellow teachers. Service is always good and the food is consistently very good with added touches such as a slice of orange on your plate of pancakes, or eggs and home-fries and a slice of... More

Today was the straw that broke the women back! We arrived at about 10:30am. the place was very busy I had my mom (88) my aunt (89) who had never been here. This was my fourth and last visit! We had to wait by the door ( no ones fault ) The staff all five that I counted moved like... More

The menu was very interesting. We settled for two different types of eggs Benny- didn't go for other egg dishes. Hubby tried lamb hash as well. His biggest beefs were: not enough hollandaise, too much potato in the hash. Mine: tasted like everything was cooked too close together on flat/top. My home fries tasted like lamb and there was a... Really good breakfast good potatoes large portions BUT service is rude, acts like they are doing you a huge favor to even look at you and they don't serve or refill coffee. Have to go to a side counter and get it yourself while your food gets cold. A shame the wait staff ruins it for the chef and owners.

I do not like to say something bad about a place that has good food, but after reading many reviews which have spanned years regarding the slow service, I had to speak up. If you know this is a problem, why can't it be fixed. I also couldn't believe that someone had exactly the same complaint as we regarding dirty... More

We were the second ones in early on a Friday evening, yet had to wait 45 min for two simple meals (a sandwich & fish n chips). Our waitress "disappeared" after taking our order, and never checked in to see how our food was or if we needed anything. Someone else delivered our food, which was slightly better than average.... We have been here many times. It is truly a great little place, especially for breakfast. It is always very busy Sunday morning; you might have to wait. But it is worth it.
