Wonderful classical place. Authentic big juicy delicious steaks . Impossible to leave hungry or unsatisfied. Excellent and attentive service. Pleasant atmosphere. Good variety of wines to pair with meals. We had a great time and would definitely come back!

I have been wanting to go to Joseph's for a long time, hearing how good the steaks were. The steak was very good, but nothing different than other steak houses. I found the creamed spinach to have an odd taste and the potatoes were just fair. If I am going to spend that much money, I expect something SPECTACULAR! The... More

Their steaks are from the same place as Peter Luger's....and it's what you would expect from a NY style steakhouse. Prices are reflective of the same. I actually had the lamb chops....which are always good. The bone in rib eyes are a favorite as well. My colleagues always order a side order of bacon...which is delish. So is the creamed... More

This was our first visit to this restaurant which was recommended by friends. We started out with a cold fresh Caesar salad prepared with just the amount of dressing. We then ordered the Baked French Onion soup which was delicious. My wife ordered the Filet Mignon medium rare with mushrooms which was cooked perfectly tender juicy and was so good.... More

Yes the food is delish, it's an upscale steak house. However, what makes me want to pay $200+ for a meal for two is the service. I was extremely impressed by the service. They are attentive and kind. This restaurant is extra special to me because I got engaged here! :)

That's what my friends told this Texas gal! The house martini was divine, their bread and cracker basket was super healthy and their homemade steak sauce on the multi seed cracker could have been a meal unto itself! Wish I would have purchased a bottle of that to take home! The fish chowder was rich and delicious, but had to... More

We were coming back home from Eastern Connecticut when traffic on I-95 slowed us down in Bridgeport. I had wanted to go to a decent steakhouse for our October birthdays, but our hectic schedules had prevented that. So, as we negotiated traffic, I remembered that three different friends of ours had mentioned Joseph's for their steaks. We detoured into downtown... More

We all had big boy steaks (strips)and they were all excellent and cooked exactly as we ordered. Sides were also excellent (baked potatoes, mushrooms, wedge salad). Service was attentive, but not pushy. Prices were reasonable for the quality of the food and no where near as expensive as it would have been in NY.

If I want to spend mucho dollars for a so-so steak and OK sides and an average $12 glass of wine, then I guess this is the place. I wouldn't go back as there is also zero ambiance.
