Went for dinner tonight since the weather was good. The line to order was very long. We parked at 6;45 and our receipt said we ordered at 7:12. 30 minutes later our food was ready. My fried oysters so much breading that it was hard...to find the oysters. My husband’s fried clams were tiny and overcooked. We paid $24 and $18 ridiculous! Getting a beer from a waitress took forever because they have to walk down from the bar with a huge tray of drinks and deliver to all the tables. We are done hereMore

Went with my daughter ad we both ordered fish and chips. Order is picked up at counter. Fish and fries were both hot and crispy, with a large piece of cod. It was light and flaky. People at the counter were friendly and helpful. Sat...on the dock area under a covering. Very nice experience.More

Attended a live music event. Was there for 2-1/2 hrs and once when I stopped a member of the staff was I able to place a drink order. Never came back again to see if we wanted to order again. You have to go upstairs...if you want to get it yourself. Now except pitchers and mixed drinks everything is in a can. If allowed by law why would you not have a bar set up downstairs with iced product. Worked in bars and restaurants in the past and watched about 10k slip though the cracks.More

We found this wonderful place in a list of restaurants given to us by a hotel when we checked in. What a wonderful surprise!!! After being cooped up for 5 months this year due to Covid-19, walking up on the huge deck and pier on...the sunny day was was like coming back to life again. This great experience was made more relaxing with very careful Covid precautions and friendly service. I had the BEST fried oysters ever!!! My husband said the same about his crab cakes. We got one of the single tables over looking the marina and took in the wonderful view. I even fed the sea gulls & ducks some of my delicious fries. Even though it was two weeks ago I now have happy tears in my eyes remembering that wonderful meal and experience!!! There was also a small boardwalk with tiny shops that look like houses, but they were still closed due to Covid. We were able to get some really nice photos of the “houses” and lighthouse without crowds around. I don’t understand the posts that talk about average food as our experience was nothing less than stellar!More

Just about every Sunday in the summer my 2 friends and I spend our Sundays at captains cove...on any given Sunday we would spend quite a bit of money there. NEVER AGAIN Per captains cove on the first weekend they opened during covid 1 plate...of food meant you could have 2 drinks....the second time we went they upped it to three....2 hours per table but it seemed like if there were empty tables they didn’t ask you to leave. As you can imagine since the waitresses switch up it’s hard for them to keep track of who got what. Yesterday we planned our normal outing and a bunch of our friends met up. Now when I say bunch of our friends they are all men and all black. All upstanding hard working men. We were spread across three tables. There was a couple at one of the tables who did not order food but there was also another gentleman who ordered food and didn’t drink so he gave his 3 drinks to them. Here’s where I got confused because except for that couple we all used one waitress, hannah So now is where my confusion comes. I look to my right where some of the guys sat to eat and they are surrounded by 4 of the Security Guards and some short man who said he was the owner/manager no clue... (he walked up to the table and made it seem like he was going to get them round for their wait and then when flipped it to you guys are ordering drinks from different waitresses etc). The next thing I know this gentleman is standing next to me and all his security guards moved behind my male friends at the table I was sitting at. He looked at us and said you guys want another round (well who doesn’t) so we said sure...now mind you we didn’t hear what happened at the other table just saw the confusion on our friends face....The man did the same after offering us a round...I asked him if there was anything else...said thanks and told him to have a good day.... he never asked us to leave just that we reached our max on drinks We decided we would all leave so we were gathering between 2 tables while we waited for our last friend to get his food....one of the bouncers started talking to us explaining they are only doing their job etc... The next thing I know the manager walked up with cops......the bouncer switched from explaining he was doing his job to telling my friend he can’t ask his boss what the problem is when he walks up with the cops. I mean what was the problem why did we need the police. I looked at the cop and said there is no need for you to be here only person angry is him and please just let me get my friends out of here before this turns left. There was no talking on our side and the only tension was on the side of the man and captains cove feeling the need to have security surround a group of black men when there was no confrontation. Captains cove I want you to explain to me why this man didn’t just come up and speak to his paying customers in a respectful fashion. I stick out like a sore thumb so there is no way you don’t know we are regulars or how much money we spend when we come. Why was security needed and most of all why was the cop needed...with everything going on in the world this is how you treat humans I am appalled at this racist behavior and my friends being singled out and treated that way. Shame on you!More

This restaurant/marina was a fun activity! The food is pretty good, with standard marina fare (fish & chips, fish sandwiches, etc.) and the prices were good. There was plenty of outdoor seating, which was perfect during warmer weather. There are a lot of nearby shops...to enjoy as well, making for a fun afternoon excursion.More

Ok looked great from the outside and the fish and chips were quite tasty but with a family of 4 at 6:30 we really could not understand why our 2 teenage kids had to leave by 7:00 SHARP! Not sure why this was occurring because...the night club was NOT starting yet. So 3 security guards approached us at 7:00, 7:03 and again 7:04 for our 2 teens ages 15 and 17 to go down stairs. Whatever not a family place to go to. The security could of been more friendly and for the food they served I would not return. Seriously not cool!More

So I wanted to give it 4 stars because the staff was nice and it does have a nice marina view. I just couldn't muster it, I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could. The place feels like a mix between an arcade / carnival...and a restaurant. Order at the front and take the food wherever. Odd, but OK. Where it dropped for me was the quality of the food did not merit the prices charged. I got the chicken cutlet, and paid a handsome $10 for it. I thought it would be a fresh cutlet. Wasn't. Perfectly round, surely frozen and not even real chicken. Think a chicken nugget from the golden arches. C'mon. Wife's lobster roll was reported to be good, kids ate their meals as well, so the food isn't BAD, just not great. Hence, 3 stars. Place is huge, they must get plenty of people in there. My review won't likely move the needle.More

I checked the menu on line before going here. When i got here there the prices were higher than posted on line. I compared the food and prices with Dino's in North Haven, Wow what an eye opener. At Dino's the clam strip dinner can...feed 2 at 12.99 here 14.99 and the strips were half the size and the portion was small.Ask for extra tarter sauce 25 cents charge (really) Also their ordering process should be changed. You order a drink and the cashier leaves her register to make the drink. This makes the lines long. On a Sunday only 2 registers are opened. for taking orders.I suppose if you're the only place like this on the water, you can count on new customers to keep your business opened. For me and wife we will not make the trip here again.More
