I've been here solo, on a date, with friends & hosted a birthday party with 18 people and I've never been disappointed. At Bereket you get quality food without pretense or attitude in a beautiful setting with handmade tiles and Turkish music in the background....I usually start with the 'Combination Platter' that comes in 2 sizes including baba ghanoush, eggplant salad, humus and warm pita bread. The entres include a variety of delicious vegetarian food and the best lamb dishes in the area. I recently had one of the lunch specials for under $10. that included the delicious falafel with zucchini pancakes. There's no charge for bringing your own wine, gracious hospitality and plenty of free parking in the municipal parking lot. Of course, I'll be back again!More

This restaurant has very pleasant atmosphere and excellent service. Some of the dishes we chose were very good, while others were OK and perhaps a bit disappointing. The boreki were excellent as were the zucchini fritters. The serving of dumplings we had was generous but...not particularly flavorful. The Iskender Kebap that I had was absolutely smothered in tomato sauce which overwhelmed any flavor from the grilled lamb. The restaurant is BYOB, which permits you to bring anything you like to have with Turkish food, which I consider a positive.More

There are two Bereket restaurant in Briegeport but they are not related. My GPS went bizarre and gave me the wrong direction. Parking was challenging. Later we found that the restaurant has its own parking lot. Nice decor, friendly hostess and good food. There were...only three of us during lunch time. Why? Such a small portion! I’m not a big eater but it doesn’t fill me up. Men would need at least three plates to be full. The restaurant has potential and needs to change the menu. Maybe adding more veggies on a plate? Give us more food. Then we’ll be back.More

I think Bereket is one of the best kept secrets in Fairfield County. The decor is humble elegance and the music transports you to a far away locale. The food feeds your soul like meat and potatoes but with a warm exotic spice to it....I don't understand why this restaurant isn't packed 24/7. I think its because where I live, people don't branch out much beyond Americana cuisine, pasta, pizza, and seafood. But if you want to explore the over 10,000 taste buds in your mouth, I suggest you give Bereket a try. I guarantee this restaurant will become one of your favorite comfort food spots! My personal favorites on any given day are the lamb kabobs, the zucchini pancakes, and the lentil soup. And their baklava is the best in the state! The owners and staff are also amazing and it's BYOB with no cork charge!More

This is a real find! Great food, great service and a nice ambiance. You can tell that there are regulars who come here often. We have been twice now and both times we were thrilled with the variety, portion size and service.
