My husband and I had been to this restaurant on our first date many years ago under a different name and venue, We love tapas and decided to return to give Taberna a try. We were not disappointed. We had glasses of Cabernet, Cesar salads and three different tapas; one with chorizo, whites beans and mushrooms, empanadas and cod cakes.... More
My husband and I had dinner at the Fairfield restaurant. Right off the bat the host kept us waiting 10 minutes before they ever showed up at the desk. We had a reservation. We waited 20 minutes before our drinks arrived. The fried calamari tasted like old, cold fried rubber bands. That should have been a warning! We both ordered... More
My daughter and I called Taberna Food and Wine Bar thinking that it was in Bridgeport. We were informed that the Bridgeport location was closed and was referred to the Post Road, Fairfield location. We were happy that we called first. The Restaurant is in a small shopping mall. The Staff is very pleasant and accommodating. They quickly greeted us... More
I had a groupon so I tried the restaurant out. The food was good, however there were 4 other tables and all had groupons. I felt as if since they new ppl had groupons the service wasn't that great. A pitcher of sangria came with the groupon so I ordered the red. Not pleased at all. Basically red wine In... More

Located on a street full of restaurants, this one is slightly off the beaten path, but should be a main destination for good food in Bridgeport. Small plates are featured, and they are full of the flavor one would expect. The portion sizes are slightly bigger than at other "small plate" establishments, and this is welcomed to this dinner. We... More
For lunch we had the Jamon prosciutto thinly sliced , and perfect with Serrano cheese. Followed by chicken Milanese, and fresh mussels with pasta. This place is a real gem. In order to stay open in Bridgeport you have to be excellent to own a fine dining establishment. Or there is no reason to come here. As usual taberna never... More
I would say our meal was good. Flavors were good but nothing stood out as great. The portions were a little on the small side considering the prices. We sat outside on a wonderful evening and found the location to be relaxing although in the middle of a residential neighborhood. Wait staff was very very friendly and polite. Best service... More
Taberna has been at their current location for seven years. It's a gem. Staff is courteous, attentive, and accommodating. Menu selection has something for eveyone. The seafood paella is a meal in itself. For a party of seven, the food came out cooked perfectly. Sangria is refreshing. Will dine again at Taberna. Watch for their nee location in Fairfield in...
