If you love lasagna, order this! Like Mom used to make! Enjoyed a late night dinner with hubby a few weeks ago and had the fig & prosciutto with goat cheese flatbread and the seared tuna over mango ginger rice and drinks - totally romantic...evening! The staff and owners are great! Once covid is over, sit at the bar and chat with the other diners! You will have a great evening!More

This is our favorite restaurant on the shoreline. The food is divine, real Italian, always fresh and interesting. The artichoke heart appetizer is not to be missed, all fish dishes are stellar, chicken picatta, pasta with eggplant, equally well done. A good salad comes with...the entree. Vegetarians can find something delicious. The atmosphere is cozy, nothing fancy but very comfortable, and the service is prompt, wine pours are not stingy. I just made a reservation for tonight. You can dine in or out. Don't miss this treasure - it's easy to find. (Oh yes, I forgot the ricotta-pistachio cake. Worth the trip!)More

We dined in the covered "terrace" on a cool night recently. The food was very good and the service was friendly. My husband enjoyed lasagna, while our guest said, "Mmmm..." when he tasted his veal marsala. I enjoyed a roasted eggplant tower for an appetizer,...followed by a fig and prosciutto flatbread pizza with a balsamic glaze. It was just crispy enough and not too sweet - delicious! As a nice touch, the chef/owner stopped by the tables to thank us for our patronage. Upon returning home, I realized I was missing one of the earrings that I had worn that night for the first time. I called the restaurant and one of the staff was kind enough to look for it, find it and set it aside for me. Made my day!More

We have eaten here many times over the past year, and the food is always melt-in-your mouth delicious! We highly recommend it. Everything is wonderful but especially the owners, kitchen staff and the wait staff. You couldn't ask for a more welcoming place to have...a great meal.More

Kitchen took 45 minutes after appetizer and salad to get the entree out. Service was great-thank you Marian. Tables all around us served ahead although they ordered after us. Owner’s wife tried to through server under the bus by saying she held the order. Not...true!!!! Owner’s attitude will convince us NOT to go again. If you are friends of the owner you will be taken care of. BAD FEELINGSMore

This is not real Italian food! This was probably the worst meal I’ve ever had. Service was slow. Salad was a a few pieces of lettuce with a tomato and the olives were gross. Bread was not fresh and they gave us fake olive oil...that was like Wesson oil. Our waitresses thumb was imprinted in our Parmesan cheese and meals (gross!). Portions were ridiculously small, so small that my husband and I had to drop more money at another restaurant down the street to get a real meal. Then they charged us $15 each for a Vodka soda water and soda. I will never set foot in this place again and don’t recommend anyone else does either. The absolute worst! If you want REAL Italian food go to Strega. This place is a joke!More

We decided to dine at Rossitto's restaurant because they offer Vegan Penne ala Vodka. It is refreshing to dine with family and friends and not have to worry about what to eat. I am happy that Salad isn't my only option here. My husband ordered...Penne ala Vodka also but made with real cream. We both were happy with our dinners which came with a side salad, bread with dipping oils and a tasty bowl of olives. The waitstaff was attentive and knowledgeable about the wine selections. We definitely will be back.More

We LOVE Rossitto’s! This is real Italian cuisine — subtle and complex flavors, interesting and careful preparations, and genuinely warm hospitality. Incredible value. Our favorite spot on the whole Connecticut shoreline — summer on the patio, or winter in the cosy dining room. Don’t miss...it!More

Headed down to Branford for a day trip and started by looking for a place to eat. This is a cozy, authentic Italian restaurant with a good selection of appetizers, entrees, paninis and salads. There is an extensive wine list as well. My eggplant parmigiana...was the best I have ever had. It was hand cut and prepared...not the usual version that are bought breaded and frozen. It was outstanding! All 3 of us loved our entrees, wine and desserts.😋 did I forget that shortly after being seated that a basket of warm bread and a bean salad also made its way to our table? The waitress was delightful and the chef also took a moment to come out and check on our meal! Superb dining all around!More
