We visited Jao Priya and ordered two dishes...spicy basil chicken and spicy eggplant chicken with medium spice. The dishes were perfectly seasoned with medium spice and the vegetables were crisp, just how we like it! It was so satisfying, so yummy and of course we...got our spice on! It's takeout food for now during this pandemic. The food traveled very well to bring it home. The portions were more than enough. We have leftovers! I can't wait to order the crispy duck! Well worth the money, you should give them a try if you haven't already done so.More

I ordered takeout from this here on a Friday night for dinner. We ordered the Thai wings, a Mussaman curry with beef, and a Prig Paow with tofu. The order was ready in about 20 minutes and came with so much food for the price....The wings were deep fried and stayed crispy until we got home and tasted delicious with their sweet chili sauce. The curry was very flavorful and the prig paow had so many wonderful vegetables. I love that the veggies aren't over cooked and would highly recommend ordering out from this place.More

The person who was our server was so delightful so in touch with what the food would do and was in touch with which selections would go with each other. The food was tasty the atmosphere calm and the surroundings relaxing

My food was well prepared and delicious. The seasoning and sauces were spot on. The menu is perhaps a little pricey, but Thai food isn't usually inexpensive.

This is a pretty little restaurant with great food, wonderful service, and quiet soothing surroundings. Appetizers are make to order as is all the food, Colorful and spicy. Take care with spice. Unless you're a pro, order medium. It's delightfully right. A bit out of...the way in Bolton, I assure you the few minutes drive.... Worth it!!! Oh yes .. the Thai tea perfect !!More

A nice surprising find sequestered in a tiny micro strip mart in Bolton, CT. It's across from the Bolton Veterinarian Hospital and almost sitting atop the bike trail (Charter Oak Greenway) The Hop River Trail Section at the Notch runs east to Willimantic and north...to Vernon. Both the trail and Greenway are part of the 2,900-mile East Coast Greenway that runs from Calais, Maine, to Key West, Fla. The previous trail information might be a bit dodgy since the trail is a work in chaotic progress. I digress...the restaurant is intimate and has an atmosphere of friendliness. The napery and accoutrements are average to pedestrian but adequate. Okay, the food was as good as any I've had in Thailand. I spent some months there and if you don't get ennui eating 'that' cuisine this is a place for anyone to experience. I have eaten here twice and both times were very good. I had fish and shrimp first and the second time pork. I chose very spicy and it almost was...I grow hot peppers as a hobby (Ghost, Thai, Scorpion...the usual suspects). So, I like 'this' place. One of the rarities that might suit some dinners is that BYOB does exist. Not only does it exist here but it abuts a small package store (Coincidence? I don't think so). Be forwarded; there is a corking or uncorking or bottle fee applied to your bill. However, 'bringing your own bottle' is much more reasonable than buying restaurant libations. Again, I like this place.More

Restaurant was recommended,so we stopped and ordered takeout. It was 5:00PM and place was empty - we ordered anyway. My wife and i ordered different dishes and both declined extra spices. We thought normal spice would be sufficient - woman wrote "mild" for both orders....After 20 minutes we got our bag of food an left. At home we sat to eat and were very disappointed. My order was so bland that it was tasteless. My wife's order, on the other hand was super-hot with red pepper. We like Thai food, but this was so off neither one of us could finish much of our dishes. Both dishes went in the trash. Not sure what happened here, but we were the only customers and the phone never rang; so it wasn't busy at all. We had sandwiches for dinner. Too bad.More

Welcomed in by warm and engaging waitress who was very helpful in suggestions. Food was really good. Pad Thai was great and friends had curries. Surprised how good all the food was! Service was excellent as well. BYO alcohol. Delightful.

My wife and I rode our bicycle built for two down the rails to trails and visited JPTC for dinner. It was great. Good food and a nice place, right off the bike trail. Will be regulars now that we know about it.

We have been to this gem of a Thai restaurant before but because of location we seem to forget to make the turn... truly a mistake! Long tired day and my wife suggested someplace quiet ... And delicious. A start with hot Thai tea and...spring roll . It's like a small pre main course salad. I had krob chicken and she eggplant in garlic. Both medium. They take spicing seriously here and medium is spicy tasty.... But spicy. Service was class A and the food just wonderful. The decor is Thai and the background music soothing and enough to relax but not overwhelm. The stars are for service. Food. atmosphere. We left full but wanting to return. We were there on Monday night. The restaurant was not busy but friendly and welcoming. Go. Dine. SavorMore
