We love the people at Spice and the incredible food. My husband likes spicy food and often orders the Chicken Vindaloo and he'll be happy for days! I don't like spicy food, and there are plenty of choices of flavorful food - like the Lasuni...Gobi (cauliflower) and Calamari to start, then maybe Dahi Danhi Ginga for an entree - I can't list them all, but everything is so fresh. The service is always good and we feel welcome all the time.More

The food is delicious and the service is great! This one of our favorite spots as a "date night" or with family & friends. We miss being able to dine in during COVID 19 but thank goodness for take-out!

I tried out Indian Spice for the first time tonight and I was impressed. In the Dunkin Donuts plaza, it is a small space serving up outstandingly fresh food. The ginger martini is loaded with fresh ginger, and the shaker is left to get a...few bonus sips. Great variety of dishes. Fried vegetable platter appetizer had no hint of greasiness. The shrimp in my entree were large and so fresh and well cooked. Traditional kheer and masala chai rounded out a great night! Great service too! Go check it out!More

We went on a Saturday and t was jammed, so we will try again midweek, because the menu was really interesting and the food good. But poor service ruins the experience

Excellent addition to Bethel / Danbury for Indian food. Fresh ingredients and great tasting dishes. Vegetable Samosa and Bagari Jhinga appetizer were great. Main course of Manglorian fish curry, Dahi Dhani Ginga and Setrangi kebab were all delicious. Great attentive service.

My wife and I love Indian food (Northern or Southern cuisine) and we both wanted to try this new Indian restaurant in Bethel CT for a nice Valentine's Day sit down dinner. Mind you, my wife and I are not vegetarians or vegans but typically...when we first try a new Indian restaurant we go straight to the vegetarian menu because in our opinion the best vegetarian food in the world is Indian. If an Indian restaurant is worth it's stuff, their vegetarian food should be a delight. For an appetizer we had their vegetable samosa, a pastry stuffed with spiced potatoes and green peas. We were slightly surprised when it came sliced open and garnished with chick peas and green peas with sprinkles of rice on top, but it was delicious! (Please see samosa picture). I also had the hot Indian pickle (mixed vegetable pickle) which was very hot but very good! For our main course my wife had the Chole Peshawari, chickpeas and potato cooked in Peshwari style and I had the Bagara Baingan, baby eggplant cooked in a yogurt sauce. The dinners also came with small dish of long grain spiced rice. (Please see picture of both dinners and rice). I want to say that we were not totally disappointed the taste of both dishes was good, but we've most certainly have had better. Our main criticism concerns the sauce in both dishes. Unlike that which we had in numerous other Indian restaurants, the sauce in these two dishes was so thick there was no flow whatsoever. Each spoonful added to our rice remained as a lump on top of the rice. There should be at least a little flow into the rice so that the flavors can be appreciated together. In defense for the restaurant, perhaps the sheaf was hurried that night, the restaurant was very full due to the Valentine Day holiday, I don't know. But we do plan to go back and give them another try.More
