Beautiful place, loved the atmosphere immensely. Not worth the money! Slow rude service. The food was bland and salty, weird flavors, not Bavarian or Swiss at all. We spent 8 years in Europe, this was not it. Fondue was very plain with stale bread, soup...was cold, chicken was salty and dry, spaetzie tasted like mashed fried soggy noodles.More

Highest End in WP. You won’t find a fancier place to dine in Woodland Park. The atmosphere is great. The food is average for a high end restaurant. I would definitely go again, but without as high expectations as I had.

I've been to the Swiss Chalet once with my family, and all I remember is that we did not feel welcome. We visited on a Saturday during the lunch hour. The restaurant was open, but the host played the game that they didn't have any...space to accommodate us for lunch - even though the place was completely empty - and it was well into the lunch hour rush. So, we went out to our car, and booked a table through Open Table, went back inside and were seated in the back of the restaurant (by the same host) in a freezing covered patio area. We were the only people in the restaurant! The food was unremarkable, in fact, it was nothing to even comment on. We did have our small child with us, which apparently was a giant nuisance to the waitstaff and owner, despite the fact that the little guy was well mannered and we had brought his own food to eat. We cleaned up any mess he made (on our own fold-a-table we attached to the edge of the table where we were seated), so it seemed like the simple fact that we'd brought a child into the establishment was the real problem for them (and perhaps why they initially refused service to us?) Anyway, by the time we left, paid our enormous bill (which the food quality nor quantity justified) and walked out of the restaurant, there was only one other table occupied. We vowed never to return.More

The food at the Swiss is very good and the service is wonderful. If you're in Woodland Park plan on a meal here.

The food was as good as usual . The menu varies frequently but keeps some of the house specialties on the menu always. We booked a table for Friday night and it was a packed house quite early. Service was rather slow but overall it...was a nice dinner.More

My husband and I dined early on a Friday evening. We started with the "cheese fondue" appetizer, which could have easily been a meal itself. Our dinners both came with either a soup or salad. We both got the salad, and it was huge! We...both desired authentic German dishes, so I ordered the Veal Zurich with Spaetzle and my husband ordered the Jaeger Schnitzel with Spaetzle. Both were delicious! We left happily stuffed!More

We visited the lovely Swiss Chalet for a birthday celebration. Our meal was simply fantastic. The ambiance is so very lovely sitting within the pine trees.

Not sure what I was expecting but I was pleasantly surprised. There are plenty of tourist trap restaurants in the Colorado Springs area but this isn’t one!! The jagerschnitzel was superb. I’ll be back:)

Casual dress. They have a deck/patio so you might want to take a sweater if going during the day (Woodland park is high elevation). This is a family restaurant and the staff are friendly. Enjoy your meal.

It ranges from casual (nice jeans & shirt) to very dressy. I usually hit in the middle. Not a shorts kind of place.
