First off, we Love this place. We do not dine here often but at least once every few months. The food is usually excellent, the service has its ups and downs but, such is life. Tech they use, should be listened to for reservations would be...a good step. NOT tell the patron they did not call ahead. Then seat another group ahead of us for his error. Then, seat us at the absolute WORST table in the house. Petty to say the least about his decision there. Mine is to stop recommending his place to people I have sent there over the past few years. And more than likely, stop visiting myself.More

We had dinner outside on the patio of West 29th. It was really wonderful. There was a fountain in the middle and it was both peaceful and private. The service by Tawny was excellent (as were the Cosmos she made). The food was outstanding, especially...the mussels in an amazing sauce and the Caesar Salad! We had a great time. The manager was very friendly and made sure everyone was doing well.More

My family and I went here for my wife's birthday. Manager wouldn't seat us outside because we had our baby. He said he counted a a full person even though he didn't need a seat as he was in his car seat. I've never dealt...with such a rude person at a restaurant. If you are a family looking to go out I would suggest going elsewhere.More

We had dinner on Friday night so we made a reservation for the outdoor patio. When we got there, the waitress offered us a table by the door, and we asked for the closest empty table that was going to be in the shade all...evening. We were told all the tables were planned so we couldn't have a different table (there were 5 other open socially distanced tables at the time). We said OK and ordered dinner and drinks. As the sun was setting, we got hot and the waitress asked if there was anything she could do like moving the umbrella, and I said no the sun was at an angle that the umbrella wasn't going to help, this is why we asked for the other table. At no time did either of us raise our voice or speak to her in a rude way. We paid our bill and left. The manager proceeded to follow us out of the patio area and in front of the entirely full patio, he asked us what our problem was, so we explained. He then proceeded to ask us why we would punish the waitress... What? We tipped her a little more than 20% on a $113 bill.... I get that with Covid, everyone is stressed, as am I, but really? We walked away because why on earth would I stand there and argue with the manager. Maybe this was just a simple misunderstanding, but not a good way to end a date night.More

Saw the manager yell at 3 separate customers this evening. Feel fortunate that we were able to leave unscathed.

West 29th has a great vibe and some great food. I'm not usually a fan of lasagna nor am I a vegetarian. That said I tried the Ratatouille Lasagna on the recommendation of our waitress, Samantha. Amazing! It's one of the best meals I've had...in Denver. The service was excellent too and prices were more than reasonable.More

The food, service and atmosphere are wonderful. Gorgeous neighborhood restaurant with excellent food, small but good wine list, reasonable prices. I loved the fun, eclectic decor. You can tell the chef is creative and cares about quality and flavor. Low key restaurant that is warm...and inviting (even had a roaring fire going in the main restaurant). We didn't sit in the bar at all but it looked cozy and inviting. Also the patio looks amazing and we'll go back for sure in the summer. Great staff as well ~ and apparently many have been there for years. Go there!More

anniversary dinner on a Friday night with reservations We chose West 29th based on a one-time visit (Sunday brunch/lunch) that we thoroughly enjoyed. We were very pleased with our return for dinner. The dining area is inviting--especially near the fireplace ( we had reserved a...table right in front of the fire and with a gentle reminder to the hostess we were promptly seated there). The four of us shared & enjoyed a meat & cheese appetizer--it had a decent selection & quantity of both. One of us had a bowl of clam chowder--it was excellent--chock full of clams, light on potato & very creamy. This order of soup did delay the arrival of the four entrees. The dinners arrived nearly all together and three were judged to be very good. The burger was cooked to order & was on a very good bun--the fries were plentiful & good. The gorgonzola stroganoff was very good with lots of emphasis on gorgonzola--very tasty & a generous portion. The best of the entrees was the veal Marsala--excellent, garlicy taste-very good veal -decent portion. The fourth dish, shrimp scampi, had two notable problems--one was the small # of shrimp ( only 4 or 5 and unpeeled tails ) & two was the over-powering lemon in the sauce--it was just drenched in lemon. We all tasted each others meals except for the burger so these opinions are based on four seperate tasters. The service was attentive & pleasant; drinks & breadsticks promptly refilled. It was a very nice anniversary experience. It should be noted that as much as we enjoyed West 29th it is noisy & may not be suitable if one is looking for a quiet, romantic dinner in front of a fire. We will definitely be going back to the West 29th Restaurant; we hope to enjoy the patio on a future visit.More

Wonderful find in Wheat Ridge, this restaurant had great, somewhat unusual, real food and a relaxed dining room where you could actually enjoy a 2 person conversation without having to shout above the din. We both had their beef stroganoff which was to die for....Their pecan pie was top notch! Service was also wonderful, friendly, helpful, and efficient. The atmosphere was very comfortable, they actually made us feel "at home" . A five star experience without formality and stuffiness and while out of the way for me, I look forward to returning.More
