This was the first time my wife and I ate at Cracovia. Excellent service, prompt and respectful to us. The food was wonderful, especially the sausage, cooked perfectly and very flavorful. The cucumber salad was a perfect combination selection with our meal. This will not...be the last time we will be dinning out at this fine establishment! Greg and Joy LagerbergMore

This restaurant was the WORST restaurant experience of our lives! We arrived at 5:50 pm for a 6:00 reservation and received our food at 8:10 pm. There were four other groups in the restaurant (it wasn't all that busy) and every one of those tables...was served well before we were. When inquiring, we were told that there was a "technical problem" in the kitchen. The entire experience was AWFUL! We couldn't even get bread or a cocktail while we waited of appetizers and entrees. As the person who recommended the venue to our group, I was left completely embarrassed! All in, it was the worst dining experience we have had anywhere in the world. The server was unable/unwilling to explain the delay, there was no one in management anywhere in the place. This was worse than "amateur hour". Just hideous!More

Tried to charge us a $28 split plate fee. But didn't bring out any plates with it. We were going to order another huge dinner. But the manager was ridiculous. Server was new and didn't explain anything to us. Nor did they bring out the...soup that we requested early. Manager was unreasonable and lost a long time customer. Manager literally told us that if she didn't charge us the $28 split plate fee she wouldn't make any money. 2 at $14 a piece at the bottom of the receipt.More

Fun spot with Polish relatives. Daughter-in-law is Polish. Kids are familiar with Polish food. Great spot for us all. She helped navigate the menu. Seventy flavors of vodka provided an ample selection. Hits were horseradish and persimmon. Authentic Polish dishes. Portions are huge. Service is...quick and friendly. We wanted to eat outside and they accommodated us, but they only gave two outdoor tables and a small space.More

Oh my God. This place is a delicious neighborhood gem. Don't hesitate to try it. The kielbasa sausage (entree) is served on a sizzling skillet with carmelized onions. It's accompanied with mashed potatoes or mixed vegetables and cabbage or sauerkraut, pickles and mustard. The mixed...vegetables (carrots, broccoli and cauliflower) were cooked to perfection and absolutely addicting. For starters, we enjoyed the beet soup with sour cream and potatoes. It was pureed bliss! The pickle soup started with a blast of tartness then quickly became hard to stop eating. I thought the flourless gluten-free chocolate cake was going to be too sweet but it proved to be one of the best ones I've ever had. I was full, but had to finish every bite of this very fudgy decadence. The dessert pierogies were enjoyed by my husband but I thought they were too doughy. The sweet cream and whipped cream served on the side (the latter sprinkled with course sugar) were a nice touch. I cannot wait to go back, tell friends, and try other menu items. We visited in June 2020. We were able to dine in but had to reserve online first. It was fast and efficient. The staff were friendly, genuine, helpful and grateful to have you as their guest.More

The Cracovia was a new experience, both for the site, as well as for the food. Polish beer is great and lots of selections are available. In addition, the starter pierogi's were good and the kielbasas and the Place Zbojnicki(pancakes with a variety of ingredients...of meats and sauces were wonderful. No question, The Cracovia was a good place to go for very tasty food.More

I am not sure what all the fuzz is al about. Maybe it was a slow night, but for us it turned into a lack luster night. I thought the prices are high for the product received. The taste was nothing special and the protein...amount was small. The tender chunks of Gulasz where missing the tender and ingredient description would read as follows in order: Sauce and then chunks of pork. My wife had the Chicken Paillard which was drive and lacked any distinguishing flavors. The restaurant lacks ambience. I hate writing this review but hopefully will either improve this establishment or will save you a bad experience.More

We came to Cracovia before a play at the Arvada Center. Service was prompt and we easily made the play. Menu is extensive with Polish dishes. Our daughter-in-law is Polish and we have been to Polish restaurants in Chicago with her. Cracovia is authentic. Owner...Lester makes flavored vodkas and ingredients for cocktails. Polish Charm was a unique cocktail. 20 different flavors of vodka to choose from. Pierogis and stew were our choices for dinner. Stew was tasty, although I would have liked more meat and less kraut. Pickled herring was excellent. Kremowka (custard and whipped cream with pastry) was excellent for dessert. We’ll be back with Polish-speaking grandchildren.More

In a rather industrial part of town, based on reviews and available options on Labor Day evening. We started with the Pierogi’s (half cheese, half cabbage) were flash fried to perfection and served with a tasty onion sauce. For main courses we had the grilled...Kielbasa and grilled Chicken. The Sauerkraut was great. We passed on potatoes. Everything is homemade. Sergio was a very attentive server, good conversation. A local spot with plenty of homemade options.More

My adult son and I had dinner on Friday night. We were heading to our hotel and happened to see Cracovia. We both had the Kielbasa which came sizzling hot. We also had sauerkraut and potatoes and pickles. The food and service were great. The...surprise was the live entertainment. A gentleman was playing the guitar and singing and was very talented and played a great selection of songs. I finally figured out that Cracovia is Latin for Krakow, a great city that I have visited. Great experience.More
