My husband had a flank steak dinner, mine was the almondine trout, both excellent. Great service , great location on the river walk.

Over many years of Winter Skiing and Summer Gore Creek enjoyment, Lancelot has been a mainstay. The Prime Rib is the best, but if you enjoy seafood, it is also available on the menu. The special bottle wine pricing is the best you will find anywhere in Vail fine dining restaurants where so many restaurant 's prices gauge the wine... More

Dropped by and ate here with my wife. I ordered the famous prime rib. They recommended med-rare but it arrived medium to medium well. Not a big deal as it was still a very well prepared meal and very good. My wife had a chicken entre that she enjoyed as well. The staff was great and we enjoyed our table... More

They do serve many other things and do them all well but I always come here for the steak and a good glass of wine. The service is always very prompt and accommodating and I come back here again and again.

If you love prime rib, this is the place. Other very nice dishes as well. Best Apfelstrudel ever, too! Reservations are a good idea, but we saw plenty of tables open.

The prime rib here is supposed to be “the big thing”. Again, (see my review of Russell’s), Vail’s "best" would be out of business in one year in New York City. If you know what a real steak joint is, don’t bother with this experience. The only meal in Vail that was reliably predictable was McDonalds…. *sigh* ...Oh well. We... More

We were very happy with the food and service here. All of the food we ordered was delicious. We loved the escargot appetizer (we almost ordered another), my husband had the prime rib, and I had the trout. Everything was excellent. A nice end to the day, especially sitting near the creek. I would definitely return.

I've lived in Vail for over 30 years. Lancelot has been around longer than I have. I only have eaten there at the request of visiting friends, but I should change that. I started with a cool and crunchy wedge salad. Prepared the usual way, but with sun dried tomatoes and beautifully executed. It was a 1/4 wedge so it... More

A group of six of us came into the restaurant for a birthday celebration with no reservation and they were able to seat us quickly at a great table with a view of Gore creek. Interesting cocktail menu to start, I had the pomegranate margarita and the jalapeño margarita. The food was great and prices are what you'd expect from... More

Ate here for dinner this past week. The ambiance was delightful. The restaurant opens up onto the River and has a few tables outside. The food was very good especially the local caught Trout. Service was very good as well. From the outside this place definitely reminded me of a typical Alpine restaurant in Europe. Inside maintained this feel albeit... More
