Dinner last week, table for 6, didn't have to wait with reservation for 6. The salads were very interesting and good. Most enjoyed their meal. I wouldn't get the vegetarian option again, the stuffed acorn squash. Trout was good. The braised short ribs was the winner this night, although the elk was a very close second.

The place was empty except for another couple and family with children. Ordered a cosmo which was slushy and watered down. Beet salad was interesting- tasty. Noticed other couple had bread. Lots of bread. We never got any nor was it offered- didn't feel like we should have to ask. Ordered the elk tenderloin cooked medium- first time ever trying... More

Every single member of my family of 7 was not only satisfied but hugely enjoyed their meals. In fact, everything was so good that we were constantly reaching over to try another person's dish. This is a must-stop as a restaurant if you are in the area. "This was a religious experience." - Robb W. "This was very gouda." -... More

Not sure why they couldn'r offer lunch and/or dinner to us. My goose done two ways was half good--One half was a... More

The restaurant is small and cozy, menu selection is good. The elk was the best main course we had, tender and tasty. The salmon was good, but not great.

We sat outside by the creek during the summer and it was lovely. We had our dog with us and they were nice enough to let us have him on the outside of the area. My husband had the elk and it was wonderful. The service was a bit slow, so just be sure you are not in a big... More

Our annual trip to Vail will always include a visit to Up The Creek. This year we visited twice, in December, 2016. The food is great, the service is friendly and thorough and the prices are reasonable, considering you are in Vail. Reservations are a must. On one occassion this year, we were 12 people, and everyone was pleased. This... More

While staying at the Sitzmark Lodge we had a chance to visit Up The Creek. We were really impressed by a well balanced menu and best of all, the food was unbelievable. We did lunch first because we had a near noon tour but we also ended up doing dinner. Both times the food and service was really good. Ashley... More

One couple loved it so much were going twice in a week! The setting is beautiful, windows by the snowy creek, the beet salad was delicious. We were surprised how good the crab cake was, baked with panko crumbs so it was crunchy and then sweet and so good. The lamb was just right and had a pomegranate mint sauce... More
