About
Just across the Covered Bridge in Vail Village is Bridge Street's warm, cozy and oldest steak house - Russell's. We have a friendly, relaxing atmosphere with wonderful Creekside dining. Russell's features dry aged Certified Angus beef, along with delightful fish entrees and world-renowned Alaskan King Crab Legs. One side dish that you can't pass up is our scalloped potatoes - baked with onions, bacon and cheese with a golden brown top. A lot of our staff members have been with us for 20 years or more. Come by and see for yourself why the locals and staff love Russell's. We take great pride in serving premier steaks and seafood in the most enjoyable and accommodating restaurant in Vail. A classic ski chalet steak and chop house with personal service and wonderful attention to our entire experience. And without the pomp and pretension of many other VAIL places. Russels has been there for more than 30 years and acts like it. The place is...made especially nice by its accommodating staff and wonderful manager, Michelle, who made sure that our kids and us were both getting what we needed. Our salads were fresh and delicious and the onion soup is a 10/10. They also brought us hot, fresh bread. I had the NY strip with peppercorn sauce but the real star was the Steak Diane. My wife had the brook trout which was usually amazing. We barely had room for dessert but managed to still dominate the Tiramisu and BLackout cake. If you are looking for a cozy, space and great food with a nice vibe this is your place!More

We have been to Vail many times, but this was our first trip to Russell's. The atmosphere is comfortable and warm. The steaks were outstanding! Service was friendly too. Highly recommend.

We recommend the Surf and Turf! General Manager Michael was very friendly. It was a cool atmosphere despite COVID-19.

We returned to Russells during a recent trip to Vail to find that the food was as good as ever. The portion sizes are reasonable and the food is all flavoursome; it is all well seasoned and clearly the meat is from a good source....I find the staff are attentive without being intrusive and just seem to be there when you need them.More

We were a party of six. When we arrived our reserved table was waiting for us. Our server was very friendly and helpful and did a good job explaining the different menu options. Personally I had the bone-in ribeye which was cooked perfectly. My wife...had the Diane steak which she thoroughly enjoyed. We had a couple of bottles of 2012 Overture which turned out to be the perfect accompaniment. All-in-all we had a great time and enjoyed our dinner immensely and I feel very comfortable recommending Russell's to anyone.More

Grab a window table and People watch! Steak, Ribs and King Crab. All well prepared and reasonably priced. Right next to the covered bridge. Service was attentive and not obstructive.

We ate dinner after waiting for days for an opening. Make a reservation! The baby back ribs were the best I’ve eaten! The desserts, flan, hot fudge sundae were also great! Our table was next to the river, wonderful!

The food was very slow to arrive. Not the fault of our waiter ... they seemed understaffed. The potatoe and veg was cold. the steak was very tender and cooked as ordered. Ambiance was cosy. Service felt impersonal.

We had dinner last night at Russell’s the food was ok but when the bill arrived they tried to take advantage of us . Watch out ! The 18 per cent service was already charged and on top they charged it again .....when we complained...they put in 3 orders of extra king crab to try to arrive to the same amount. We ended up paying what we really consumed and asked them for a round of drinks and they said maybe next time . TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!More

This was a repeat visit and the New York steak was again perfect and exactly as expected. The service was pleasant and informal and the Stella Artois tasted as real Belgian beer. Sitting at the window overlooking Gore Greek gives a real holiday feeling.
