What a great blend of Japanese and Puruvian. Try the lamb chop with ANTICUCHI sauce, a Latin delight. The shrimp tempura was lovely and light. I had the sliced tenderloin, noodle soup with ginger. Sushi was so fresh and great balance of flavor and texture. The chocolate lava cake with green tea ice cream was wonderful creamy finish on the... More

Located at the Solaris building, the food is spectacular and the service was on point. Even before I needed anything, they were there to take care of our table. The menu is extensive, but what my guest and I did was order ALL the appetizers. They had a deal of 5 appetizers for $42, so we ordered all of them... More

High end and stylish, Matsuhisa is a nice choice for a memorable dinner for 2, or 12. We tried the black cod appetizer. Very unusual, and very good. The Hendricks Garden is spicy, refreshing and unlike your standard cocktail beverage. Tempura was tasty, but pieces are large. Sashimi combination dinner had a wide selection of modest size pieces but was... More

Don't know why this place showed up on our bucket list. Possibly because a family member went here a couple years prior and was raving about it. In any case we were at Vail in October and thought we'd try it. I made reservations a few weeks in advance for a 5pm dinner. The Trip advisor times are wrong. They... More

An amazing variety of rolls and sushi served by an attentive staff. Best to add a few special dishes that staff will recommend. I love their Old Fashions.

Loved the location and the food was divine, if a bit overpriced for what you got. However, for a special occasion this is not to be missed. Staff are super attentive and friendly, if a little quick to clear away and get the next course served.

I guess who can have the highest of expectations for sushi in a landlocked state at elevation 1300. The atmosphere was great - such a hip and trendy spot with definitely an upper elite crowd. The space was huge as well. Snuck in at just before 10 and they were still serving. They let us know they were going to... More

We are usually big fans of Matsuhisa ... we regularly dine at the Aspen location and love the new Cherry Creek / Denver restaurant. We were expecting the same level of quality, detail and attention at the Vail location. They fell terribly short of the quality we have experienced at other locations. Particularly disappointing as this was our anniversary dinner.... More

I've been to Matsuhisa at least three times over the last two years. The sushi is amazing and they have a broad selection of dishes. One of the best restaurants in Vail, CO.
