If you want fresh, organic Mexican, in Telluride, try La Cocina de Luz. The food is tasty, but the menu is extremely limited, and the prices are high for the food quantities. The atmosphere is lacking.

The food is tasty, unique and fresh. They have a chip and salsa bar which is fun and convient. You walk up to order and the servers were busy so the service was just okay.

We stopped here for a late lunch and everything we had was delicious! We started with the complimentary chips and salsa that came with three different types of salsa ranging from not very spicy to really spicy - which was great for everyone's individual preference. We had the chicken tostadas which were piled high with chicken, avocado, lettuce, and two... More

A nice surprise on Main St. in Telluride. Very good Mexican food with fresh ingredients. Quirky service model. You order your food and drinks from a central counter and then someone brings it to you. Kinda crowded layout. But we enjoyed the dining experience overall and I would highly recommend this restaurant.

It's OK. It tastes like New Mexican food if Applebee's had prepared it. It looks good but lacks bite/kick. We ate breakfast so didn't taste the margaritas. The coffee is served in a huge cup, but was lukewarm. Very few staff that I could see: an order taker and one (pleasant) waitress. Presumably one cook in the back because orders... More

After walking the streets of Telluride a few days ago, looking for the "perfect" place to eat--with our "target" destinations closed for a couple more hours, we decided to try this restaurant. We both love Mexican food and we BOTH really loved this place's Chili Rellano's and marg's--SO much that my husband and I had to go back for a... More

The food is always excellent here & one does pay a premium price for food. With the tip, lunch for a one year old child, a three year old child & two adults was $65.00, so be prepared for pricing! Food is ordered at a counter & delivered by a server (who only gives you food & nothing else!). One... More

This is one of our favorite Mexican restaurants, second only to Casa de Pico in San Diego! Fantastico!

Came here for vacay breakfast on a weekday morning. Food was great. Ambience and service were average to slightly below. Place was pretty empty with perhaps just a couple of single locals and a film fest planning group. I thought the breakfast burrito was excellent though perhaps just a little too much tortilla. Green sauce was terrific. My husband had... More
