Amazing food in a cool cabin at almost 12,000 feet...it doesn't get much better than this. I do not exaggerate, when I say that this could be my favorite restaurant on Earth. Every year I'm so excited to get back to Telluride and enjoy a grilled cheese with tomato soup and good Italian wine. Is it expensive? Yes. Is it... More

Telluride has many great dining choices but, for a really memorable day on the slopes I highly recommend Alpino Vino located off See Forever run. For one, the views never stop, it's way up on the mountain, elv is almost @ 12,000 ft....it's a quaint cabin with nice deck, absolutely breathtaking views in every direction... wonderful wines and dishes to... We alternate between the US and Europe for our ski vacations and generally the food is so much better in France and Italy than it is in the US. They do just love their food over there. However, Alpino Vino is the exception. Perched near the top of the mountain it is a beautiful little slice of Italy in Colorado.... More

Terrific food and unique ambience that reminds me of LeChamonix! It's pricy as is everything in Telluride but worth a visit at least one day while skiing!

This little place at the top of the mountain delivers a limited menu, exquisitely prepared with a European flair. We had the tomato basil (?) soup of the day - a small cup instead of a bowl - and a large plate of cured meats and cheeses. The presentation was exceptional, but the tastes even better. Prosciutto and salamis were... More

Everything was Fabulous! the food, & the atmosphere. I did not love our server, but the service overall was fine & the following day was good. We enjoyed your restaurant very much. Thank you!

we skied up for lunch on a big blue sunny day. The views were outstanding but equally outstanding was the food. We had the tomato soup and grilled cheese and a glass of red wine. Excellent experience with a very professional staff.

Alpino Vino is a tricked out version of a mountain hut, all stone and wood, similar to the structures that dot the mountainsides in Alpine resorts like Megeve and Chamonix. The smiles that greeted us when we walked through the door were just as warm as the fire crackling away in the fireplace – and the vibe, which, despite the... More

Originally a private retreat built on a historic mining claim, this new addition to Telluride’s award-winning restaurants is a quaint European hütte perched near the top of Gold Hill. With hand-hewn beams and furniture crafted from reclaimed wine barrels, Alpino Vino provides a high alpine ambience and is reminiscent of restaurants found throughout the Dolomites of Northern Italy. Inside, a warm and inviting atmosphere, complete with a wood burning fireplace, stone floors and exposed wood beams, provides a perfect retreat from the slopes.Situated at 11,966’, Alpino Vino offers fantastic views of the Wilson Range. The expansive multi-tiered deck is a truly unique spot to enjoy a glass of wine with its European teak furniture, coveted daybed and comfortable sheepskin throws. An outdoor wine bar offers a spectacular setting for a midday escape. To visit Alpino Vino during the ski season, take Gold Hill Express (Lift 14) and turn left off the lift to ski down See Forever to our front door.Come enjoy the unique experience that is Alpino Vino!
