We went for lunch and it was busy. One waitress was taking care of the inside and one table had 12 people, but she did pretty good. Chips and salsa were good. I had the chicken chimichanga and my husband got a beef enchilada and a tamale. The food was good price wasn't bad. If we were in the mood... More

The food was fine but nothing to write home about. The service, however, was the killer here. Terrible service from the get go. Our waitress had to be stopped and asked more than once to bring things we had ordered and most of the staff were more interested in talking to each other than in working. We won't ever eat... More

We go every time we stay in Steamboat Springs. Friendliest staff and great margaritas. Try to sit in the open doorway or outside on the patio to people watch :) Great place to take a break from shopping or walking and get refreshed.

My wife and I were looking for a quick beverage with a light bite to eat and The Cantina delivered. The margaritas were delicious and reasonably priced. And the service was good, too. Definitely recommend.

We are traveling north from Arizona. Being from Phoenix we have eaten a lot of Mexican food. The food here is average at best. The service is good and the staff is friendly but the restaurant could use some housekeeping. Granted, it is an old and historic building but some extra lighting and cleaning could perk up the ambience a... More

We have been coming here every summer for years and the margaritas have always been amazing but this year they have changed. It was a big tourist weekend with the Mustang Roundup--seems like they changed the mix to not be as good. Food still the same.

We came into the Cantina at about 7:30 on a Friday night. Someone met us at the hostess stand and then seated us. I have celiac disease and asked for a gluten free menu. I was told that everything was gluten free. I did not have a language barrier but felt brushed off. I spoke with our server about what... More

We hadn't been here on previous trips to Steamboat, so decided to try it. We were amazed that the restaurant had been there since 1972 and the chef since 2002. I ordered chile rellenos and they were really delicious, with a teeny bit of sweet in the pepper which was perfect. The service was good, never lingering at the table... More
