Popped in for breakfast before skiing and loved every minute. The host / server were really friendly and the food was hearty, home cooked and perfect sizes...
Can highly recommend the Brussel sprout and sweet potato bowl special...

First the bad news, Don’t try this on the weekend (any season), it’s PACKED !!
Otherwise, our Tuesday visit was perfect. Superior food and very proper precautions and social distancing (including the ability for contact tracing). Our friendly and attentive waitstaff (John - see picture) helped in making our breakfast experience worth a repeat. Plenty of really tasty food. Thank You...!!!

Visited The Egg on our last trip 2-3 years ago, and made it a priority stop again. The Egg is a sweet little breakfast spot, (also serves lunch). Wait staff is friendly, moderately priced, open until 1:30 pm. The food is consistently delicious. Our party had The Wisconsin scramble with toast and country potatoes. (Yummy). Others in my party had a more traditional breakfast. Everything was hot and delicious! Worth a stop if you are looking for breakfast "near the mountain."

So, I know that this is locally owned, but it is clearly just a "The Egg & I" that has been rebranded. (Maybe when that company was bought by First Watch.) Food was fine, but basically the same as going to Denny's, IHOP, etc. Server was fine. Host needed to learn how to work with the cleaning staff better to get tables turned quicker, especially once ski season starts.

We are part timers here in Steamboat and every Sunday we get a fabulous breakfast at The Egg..the owners are fantastic, food is great and the staff is so professional. It’s such a delight to be treated with such courtesy and have pleasant people help you… it’s a must if you’re in Steamboat. Today I had the huevos rancheros… so much food and totally delicious, my husband likes his bacon crisp and they always get it done exactly to his taste…always excellent !!!

Went to The Egg for a late breakfast after an appointment in Steamboat we heard good things about the restaurant and were not disappointed that we tried it. The portions are large and taste is great, service was also great, they seem to have figured a way to beat the employment issues plaguing most restaurants. I would rate The Egg as a will return, it is closer to the mountain for those coming for skiing in a couple of months.

The Egg has a creative menu, great preparation, and excellent service. I had the Rancheros Huevos and added the Chorizo Sausage. The fresh smashed avocado made the dish a delight. My wife had the Avocado Toast and thought it was terrific. Service was cheerful and efficient. Will be going back.

We were driving through down on a roadtrip this summer and after contacting my cousin for brunch recommendations, one of his suggestions was The Egg. We stopped and enjoyed a hearty brunch that set us up well for several hours drive into ID. Fast and polite service and nice spacing during these Covid times. You must eat here at least once while in town.

We heard lots of people talking about the Egg for a quality place to enjoy a good breakfast. We made reservations on their website prior to our arrival which helped as we had no wait by timing our arrival just right. There are plenty of options on the Menu to cater to everyone and they serve alcohol for those looking to enjoy their vacation a little earlier then planned. Definitely would eat here again!

We had a delicious late breakfast here. 2 different kinds of Benedict, 2 sleeping giant burritos (dad and 14 year old son could've shared 1 and both been very full), the regular bfast burrito which is also quite huge, and the bacon and avocado sandwich. Our server was attentive and had a fun spunky attitude.

Great menu, great food. I had the Corn Beef Hash with Scrambled eggs and Hollandaise, my friend had the Sleeping Giant and it was huge. Both were great the lovely waitresses gave good tips on things to do while the snow was coming down. Both ladies were a delight.

The Best breakfast spot in Steamboat! Locally owned! Our server Jasmine was always so nice on our visits! Food was delicious. Served hot and fresh and the fruits were perfect temp and fresh. The wooden booth benches could definitely use a good cleaning... the cracks are so filled with food remains that it was a little yuck to sit on them... maybe they do clean them and we just happened to get a bad one... Other visits we were at a table for 2. They do get busy and you might have to wait to be seated.

My wife and I had brunch at "The Egg" and the food was delicious. My wife loves omelettes and the (Spinach, Bacon, Mushroom Omelette was wonderful. She said it was the best she had ever had. The Wisconsin scramble was delicious to me. Clean, courteous, and reasonably priced. You want leave hungry!!! Serving was satisfying.

Pleasant, medium-sized, light filled restaurant with mainly booths; parking is easy. Excellent coffee, mostly friendly service, and large cinnamon rolls. Menu is egg-centric with nice salsa verde and salsa, plus plenty of vegetarian and meat eater choices. Boozy coffee, if interested. A favorite spot for us.

Amazing food and service. From Missouri and the local Egg and I closed, it was my favorite place to eat breakfast ever! I was so sad. This one was even better than ours was, which means a lot coming from me - I am super picky about my food.
