Stopped by unplanned and so glad we did! Our group enjoyed fresh sandwiches and soup and it was wonderful. The chili was so flavorful and the chicken Caesar wrap had a fantastic dressing. We’re not from the area, but definitely recommend! The staff was delightful,...too!More

Ben and the crew at Drunken Onion do a fantastic job, whether it’s a blackened chicken sandwich to go, or catering for large groups. Always delicious and well priced for the quality ingredients and preparation. I’ve never had anything I didn’t love.

We ordered all 4 group meals for our arrival in Steamboat. It was so nice to have ready made food that we only needed to pop into the oven on our first day after a lot of travel. The food was very good. Everyone loved...the mac and cheese, lasagna, and the rotisserie chicken. The pulled pork was also very good. Highly recommend this place.More

This is our favorite type of place on vacation when you don’t want to bother dining out but you don’t want to cook - excellent prepared items to grab and reheat in your condo. We had a GREAT “chicken noodle” soup that was the closest...thing to my grandmother’s I’ve ever had. Think tomato based, not chicken broth based. We walked in shortly after they opened on a Monday morning and could’ve bought literally one of everything in here to feed us during our 4 night stay. I ate on their kale superfood slaw for days. The stuffed breakfast croissant I had day one and my husband’s breakfast burrito were incredible, even if the service was lukewarm, it was early on Monday so we understand if they weren’t as enthused as we were. The quiche muffins and bread pudding we bought to reheat the next morning were also great but didn’t make the impression of the things from day one. They were so good we went back for a repeat on our last morning there and the croissant stuffing was prepared differently from the first day, not in a good way. My mission on a return trip will be to get another stuffed croissant like I had on day 1. I believe it’s an egg, cheese, potato base and I chose the broccoli and bacon variety. Day 4’s version also had burrito type items salsa, beans, corn and just a touch of broccoli and bacon. It was still good but too much going on in my opinion. I like how on their Facebook page they promote other local food vendors. If you’re in Steamboat and want to have a splurge on easy to heat up meals (and fresh cold sides too) in your condo then skip the grocery and go stock up here.More

Lots of soups, sandwiches, cooked items, chicken,, pasta,...pizza and more with many things GF. Pleasant quiant atmosphere with coffee and snacks too.More

This was always our go-to spot for takeout after a morning of cross-country skiing. The people were friendly and the sandwiches were great. They would make anything you wanted. When we were there recently they refused to make anything. "......only what is in the case...is available." We chose a tuna on wheat bread. It was at least a day old and tasted like an airport sandwich.More

Ben and his team do a great job with providing wonderful takeout! We were in Steamboat for a week and it was great to be able to have vegan/vegetarian and meat options for everyone in our group. Just heat/serve and enjoy all the yummy options....Location is near the Sheraton Steamboat and it's convenient.More

We have had a corporate trip to Steamboat for the past 4 years. Two nights we host a large group in a condo for dinner and always order their meals. Always ready on time and everyone loves it.

This is a fresh food option. Very delicious and unexpected options. Like homemade Greek dressing. And habinaro BBQ sauce. I think their variety of food is very good. My meat eating boys found good options while I enjoyed a classic Greek salad.

Great option for those who don't want to eat in a restaurant but don't want to cook, either. Wide variety of options. Everything we tried was delicious.

We were looking for a place to eat a salad. They had containers of fresh garden salads and then they diced up a cooked chicken breast for me. It was very fresh and light. There are all kinds of choices of foods. You can eat...it there, or take out.More

Our family catered a dinner for about 25. We had lasagna, garlic bread, and Caesar salad. Unfortunately, I eat gluten free and only sampled the salad. It was a nice basic Caesar salad. Everyone else enjoyed the other food. The bread arrived wrapped in foil,...but was not cut into single servings. So, cutting three loaves took a while. We ordered way too much for one meal. We didn’t even finish it all the second meal. Delivery was smooth and the gentleman was friendly and talkative.More

Just came to grab a quick hoagie, left with a smile on my face and completely satisfied with this outstanding Italian sausage sandwich with luscious onions peppers and mustard. Really first class and fairly priced. Can’t wait to try out other goodies soon.

The Drunken Onion is absolutely a must stop for grab and go yumminess. The service was great and the food was awesome. I wish we had discovered this place at the beginning of our trip because this would have been our go to after skiing....The soups were full of flavor and filling. The brussel salad was simply done. The lasagna was a mound of chessy goodness. This isn’t a must try but a must go to!More

I really like the Drunken Onion. Their soup is really good. But I do think it's at least $2 too expensive for any given item, even in Steamboat. I only added a side salad and it ended up being like $8 (no meat or anything...just basic stuff.) I hear they do a good job catering so maybe they're just overpriced for some of the individual things.More
