Fire on the Mountain cocktail was a favorite of the night- savory sipping delight. Husband had an old fashioned and a Manhattan- perfect on a chilly night. The carpaccio was so tender and a large portion. We will come back and order the carpaccio, a...salad and a great bottle of wine. Or the charcuterie which we did not get but saw go by to another table. All of the servers were attentive. I drink a lot of water during my meal and never had an empty glass. Overall take away is the portions were very large for both our apps and main dish, service was great, we sat at a high top in bar because that is our jam but the dining area is probably a more intimate/quieter option. We go to Steamboat several times of year, and much of that is just because it is a great time going to the many great restaurants and bars here. The Truffle Pig is NOT one of them. NO AMBIANCE, most overinflated prices in town. Outrageous...prices for meh food. Service is meh on a good day. Get on TripAdvisor and go to any of the establishments ranked higher than this one (and there are a bunch of them).More

We arrived to Steamboat and were looking for a simple tap house. Somehow my husband found the Truffle Pig. Sadly...actually finding it was a challenge as it is tucked behind a hotel, They do offer free valet parking which now that we know makes perfect...sense. We'll admit we 100% had sticker shock. Hamburger was $50 + dollars. Was it good yes...but for that much no. I had bacon wrapped dates. When they arrived it was 3 of them. They were tasting and surprisingly filling. But again...for the money. No. Daughter had a form of bruchetta which was tasty but again...a bit pricy. For the remainder of our time, we'll likely look a bit more down town.More

Here's a hint: if a hamburger is $25 on the lunch menu, you can find lots better around Steamboat for much less. Service is inattentive and strangely arrogant. Food isn't bad, but certainly not anything special and certainly not worth the price. Get on TripAdvisor...and look at all of the places that are rated higher than this place--I have been to almost all of them, and they would recommend all of them over going here. There are great happy hour deals around town too that are worth checking out.More

Such an amazing restaurant. Amazing food, stellar wine program, killer cocktails, excellent cocktails, great service. Give my highest recommendation and I eat out a LOT!

Our family of 3 went there, my husband, my 12-year-old son, and myself. The quality of food is fresh and very good. Pricy side. Except a burger with a mountain of truffle fries, there may not be enough food. I ate Chilean Sea Bass, and...it was cooked perfectly. Most expensive I've had in Colorado, but I felt least value in terms of sides and the size of the fish. My son had a Kobe burger with fries. For a kid, it may be an overkill since they do not understand the value of Kobe beef. It is just another burger for him. So over $30 for a burger for a 12-year-old boy was too much. My husband is not into gourmet and orders something he knows what it is. So he ate Bolognese. From his standard over priced. My suggestion is order something that you cannot eat, enjoy mountain view, and it is worth if. However, for a family dining, it is not the right place. One memorable thing for me was their margarita. Simple but great. I enjoyed the happy hour price. I would come again, but I would rather come here for a date night without my son. Service turned out to be good, but we had to wait for a LONG time. We were about to leave, and finally our server showed up after about 15 minutes.More

Pros: Lovely night with excellent hostess and knowledgeable wait staff. We dined at Happy Hour because my husband and I are early risers and are in bed by 9 PM. The meals were excellent, we had a Kobe beef burger ($35) and a grilled salmon...head ($21) . If you love shoestring fries the Truffle fries are to die for… yum! . Although, I was a little surprised at the up charge of $3 for a cup of side salad with the burger (we substituted for the truffle fries which we ordered for an app). Cons: Maybe I’m spoilt, but usually most upscale restaurants bring you a small dessert or a celebratory glass of Prosecco for special occasions. Our server wrote “Happy Anniversary” on our $100+ bill. Hmmm 🤔 (We tipped the server at 20%, she was wonderful :)More
