Maybe more now that ever, people are focusing on cleanliness, face masks, price, and personal space in their dining experience. The Truffle Pig delivered a wonderful dinner in a very clean COVID best practice environment. Our waitress Jess did a great job of making us feel comfortable explaining the new menu options and remind us of our favorite old ones. Make sure to try the Chilean Sea Bass Fritters and Spiced Lamb Loin. The amazing service, wonderful food, and high attention to COVID best practices has ensured that my wife and I will visit the Truffle Pig frequently.

The Truffle Pig is our go-to when visiting Steamboat, and we normally have multiple meals there. The food is always high quality and worth the premium. We haven't had bad dish. But, the Kobe burger is must-have. What we truly enjoy is the service, especially from the bar tenders. We are always treated more as friends and family rather than customers on an assembly line. We highly recommend the Pig to others and look forward to our return visit.

We enjoyed a romantic dinner for two over the Labor Day weekend. The food and the service were excellent. The restaurant appeared to have taken all reasonable precautions regarding COVID-19: We were seated outside, the separation between occupied tables was appropriate, and the staff all wore face masks. Our wait staff were friendly and attentive, yet never made us feel rushed. Al told, we enjoyed a relaxed evening of food and wine to celebrate our anniversary!

Made reservations to this restaurant based on a friends suggestion and reviews. Wait staff was nonexistent, food was late or didn’t show up, and when asked to speak to a manager was told “he’s busy”. Only when we threatened to leave with out paying did the manager seem to become not so “busy” and came running out. Would absolutely not recommend. Then the owner of the restaurant called and left a message on my phone calling me a “Mother F*$ker”. Great way to deal with your business. Be forewarned. Never again. If anybody wants to hear the message PM me. Unbelievable!!

We were last at this restaurant four years ago and it was terrible: food, service and drinks could not be worse. Since the place is allegedly under new management, we thought we'd give it another try. We had a reservation and were seated promptly after arrival. We were served quickly with drinks. The choices for wines by the glass were extensive and very good. Forget the food. We ordered octopus and were given mushy squid tentacles ! The "Brussels sprouts hash" consisted of cooked whole Brussels sprouts with potatoes and a few pieces of red pepper. The cornbread was like cardboard. The Villa Antinori red wine was excellent. Pretty noisy with a lot of TV's going and people speaking and laughing loudly.

Been coming to steamboat for years and always frequent Carl’s their sister restaurant. The food and service at Carl’s is exceptional so my Expectation was set pretty high. Let’s just say I was not disappointed the food and service was phenomenal. I had a double cut pork chop that was cooked perfectly my wife had the Chilean sea bass which was excellent. From the time we walked in to the time we left we were treated phenomenally. Between the food and the exceptional wine selection you can not go wrong. Do yourself a favor when you’re in Steamboat Springs Visit both Carl’s and the truffle pig you will not be disappointed. Shout out to Donnie, Asa and Mark for taking such good care of us. Thank you.

Mixed experience. We were running late on our way from Denver due to horrible traffic on I 70. They accommodated our 30 minute late arrival which I very much appreciated. We were very hungry so ordered drinks and appetizers which came quickly. The Mac and cheese was amazing as were the truffle fries. Very nice wine list too. My wife had the pasta bolognese which was average. The bolognese she makes us much better. I had scallops. They were cooked well but way too much salt. Will try again next time we are skiing at steamboat

Bill A...Thank you for your review. We are happy to see that we were able to accommodate you during a very busy time in Steamboat. My husband enjoyed a Kobe beef burger with fries and I had a fabulous adult grilled cheese sandwich, with perfectly grilled bread. We valet parked at the hotel down below and got validated parking from the restaurant hostess. Our young, female server was very pleasant and attentive.

Loved this place! A must visit place as your coming off the slopes for the day. Happy hour started at 2pm (I think, certainly no later than 3pm) with beers, cocktails and wine at knockdown reasonable prices. Try the truffle and Parmesan fries...delicious!

Had carry out Lamb shanks with cous cous and cauliflower. They were excellently cooked and plentiful in amount of tender lamb. Our many visits to this restaurant confirm it’s consistent high quality. We recommend and will be returning. Restaurant also has outside seating

We had a large group of 13 on Christmas Day night. I had made reservations a couple of weeks prior to our trip! We arrived early and had drinks at the bar and were promptly seated at 8pm. Travis was our waiter and he was awesome! He made great suggestions and all the food was delicious. We had the truffle fries for appetizers and they were yummy. One friend had the Bolognese which was really good, my husband had the pork chop and was really delicious, the burger was fantastic and cooked as the chef recommended. My daughter had the scallops and they were really fresh and good. Would highly recommend but suggest getting reservations. It’s a busy place because of location at the base of the mountain. It is a little pricey but great atmosphere and was well worth it. We love Steamboat and this will be on our list next trip!

Suzanne...Thank you for the fantastic review. Thank you for suggesting reservations to others. You'd be surprised to know that we have several people coming in during the busy holidays thing they do not need a reservation. Travis is a phenomenal guy and a great asset to our team. The Truffle Fries and Bolognese are two of the flagship items on our menu. We are thrilled you enjoyed them. This place has excellent food, but is PRICEEEE! The restaurant has a great reputation among the locals. For a 1-time experience, we payed $32 for 2 Kobe burgers; however, it was outstanding and the fries are some of the best I've had. Even so, with desert, no drinks, tip, and any add-ons, you can't dine as a couple for under $110.00. If you have a group of 20 with drinks, count on paying $1,400+. The staff was very professional and friendly. It is worth at least a 1-time visit.

My buddy and I went to Truffle Pig for after work drinks and found the Happy Hour Menu and pricing to be the best in Steamboat! a few apps, some strong drinks and we were ready for whatever the night had planned for us. Michael was our waiter and did a great job. Mark, the manager, came to connect with our table and we were impressed with his knowledge on food and wine.

The location is great. It’s just at the base of the mountain and within walking distance of several condo complexes. The steak, key lime pie and Brussels sprouts were delicious. Our server was attentive. The ravioli, while good, was a very small portion for an entree. The downside is that we could hear the kitchen staff yelling from the kitchen when orders were ready, and there were staff walking around with big, black bins to bus tables -hence the diner reference. For the price, there are other places in Steamboat that will have an ambiance to match their price.

Pros: Lovely night with excellent hostess and knowledgeable wait staff. We dined at Happy Hour because my husband and I are early risers and are in bed by 9 PM. The meals were excellent, we had a Kobe beef burger ($35) and a grilled salmon head ($21) . If you love shoestring fries the Truffle fries are to die for… yum! . Although, I was a little surprised at the up charge of $3 for a cup of side salad with the burger (we substituted for the truffle fries which we ordered for an app). Cons: Maybe I’m spoilt, but usually most upscale restaurants bring you a small dessert or a celebratory glass of Prosecco for special occasions. Our server wrote “Happy Anniversary” on our $100+ bill. Hmmm 🤔 (We tipped the server at 20%, she was wonderful :)
