Friendly staff, but Way over priced for value of what you get. I ordered a build your own sandwich without meat ($8.50 to start), they put in the 5 veggies I ordered and forgot the cheese. I was charged $1 to add avocado and there was only one sliver (yes, sliver - you could not even pick it up without... More

This is a must eat! Some of the best sandwiches and salads we have had. We had the Angler (yum!!!), a chicken caesar, a make your own (he recommends the pesto mayo) and the Greek salad. Outdoor seating made it that much more enjoyable. Outstanding!

There is a wide variety of quality sandwiches at this stop. The central location is convenient if you are touring around downtown Steamboat Springs.

Backcountry is the perfect place to grab a delicious sandwich after riding the trails around town. The staff here is great. The sandwiches are awesome. Sometimes there can be a bit of a wait, especially if there's a large number of people. But the sandwiches are made with love and totally worth it.

When I lived in Steamboat I ate at Backcountry pretty often. Now that I moved away I make sure to go when ever I am back in town. (Sometimes every day of my visit.) My current favorite is the Cuban. Try it, it's great.

Even though they mixed up our salad, the one we received and the turkey trailhead baguette we order was well worth the wait. All the guys working there were super friendly and all looked like they were having fun.

In short, we had a GREAT SANDWICH out of a wonderful selection of dishes, wraps and sandwiches, It was served promptly and efficiently by a hard working, customer-centric crew. Conveniently located, this is a place to recommend !

We ordered a lunch to take on the road. Very good baguette and quality meat used. Homemade cookies and ice tea. Yum! Staff was quick and friendly.
