For a perfect sit-down restaurant while on the slopes, check out Gwyn’s High Alpine. There are great salads, sandwiches and entrees plus great service and views. I just had the three sliders that were very good. They also have a good wine list. Locals love the fact that it serves a great breakfast also. They remodeled during the summer of... More

The only restaurant not owned by the Aspen Corp. The food is excellent, especially when you consider it is on mountain, The Caesar kale salad and grilled Mahi-mahi are excellent

We ate here the first day of skiing, elsewhere on day 2 and kept returning for lunch every day of our trip. Why? The salads with kale and choice of protein were delicious. Steak addition was fabulous. Salmon was delicious. Jambalaya was fantastic. Burgers are grass fed and outstanding. Soups and breads are very tasty. Most resorts have processed ingredients... More

My wife and I, and a client of mine and I, ate lunch at Gwynns on separate days in January. Both experiences reminded us of the best restaurants we frequented while living in Manhattan the last eight years (and we ate out almost evey single night). Inventive, unique yummy dishes, outstanding service and friendly servers and buspersons. And the owner,... More

This was a great respite from a wonderful day of skiing. The options for a mid day meal mid mountain were over the top. Friendly staff, great food, clean bathrooms and wonderful views!

This is the absolute best restaurant on the slopes. It is the only restaurant that is is owned by an independent individual on the slops. The food is always fresh and fantastic. The staff have the biggest smiles I see in Snowmass.

Had lunch here while skiing at Snowmass. There is a nice sit down restaurant and the usual lunch buffet kicked up a notch. I ate at the buffet and there were lots of great choices. I had chicken tortilla soup with fresh bread, a cup if fresh fruit and a cookie. It is pricey but in line with other ski... More

Gwyn's High Alpine sit down restaurant not only has wonderful food for a restaurant on a mountain, but it is great food period!!!! I have been eating there for thirty five years, and Gwyn had made me a believer in soups. Hers are best I have ever eaten. The menu is extensive with fish, pasta, and sandwiches. Everything is good!... More

We didn't visit the sit-down restaurant side this time. We ordered from the brand new revamped, remodeled cafeteria. Hurray for finally updating and modernizing an extremely dated on-mountain cafeteria. The food presentation is divided into stations: grill, pizza/pasta, soups/stews, etc. The hot dog was Hebrew National, came with an excellent pickle, and DIjon mustard. It was delicious. The bratwurst was... More
