Had lunch here after riding the train from Durango. I had the club sandwich and my husband had the French dip sandwich. Both were very good. The wait staff was friendly and very fast. The atmosphere was terrific. We enjoyed authentic saloon piano playing by Lacy while we ate our lunch. The hotel and saloon was like stepping back in... More

Well, Imperial it isn't. But it's pretty interesting and does have the aura of the Old West. The hotel which houses it was built once upon a time to represent the best there is in the world of civilization. We had lunch at the bar where drinks were mediocre size but inexpensive, I guess you cannot have one without the... More

The food was awesome. French dip. Onion rings so crispy. Strawberry rhubarb pie was so good. Service was good but the young man seemed to say ok and then forget. I was disappointed they had a card on the table advertising t shirts. When we asked they were out. Ok. So if you are out each day when you set... More

We make it to Silverton a couple times a year so eat at different places. The atmosphere is typical saloon style, if your looking for a quite meal, this isn't it. The French onion soup was very good and the club sandwich is a full meal. The wait staff wasn't very attentive and after being told several times the check... More

Oh My!! It definitely could have been the altitude, but even if it was . . . you could have the same experience. The best chicken fried steak I have had in a long time. A hand-pounded ribeye steak, I mean really? It was heavenly! Just the right amount of salt, crispiness and steak flavor. . . not all breading... More

Authentic small mining town atmosphere and piano bar. Friendly service. Good sweet potato fries. Right down the street from the mining museum.

Had an excellent sand which and soup in this lovely historical saloon. Food was delicious and décor was wonderful. I want to come back and stay in lovely old hotel next door.

I have taken several of my out of country guests on the train from Durango for many years and have eaten lunch at many of the Silverton restaurants. About five years ago my guests and I were walking down the main street and heard the honky tonk piano sounds coming from this restaurant. This drew us inside, and we were... More

I was very impressed that each time we went there there was a maître d' hired to make sure that everyone was well taken care of. We were impressed both by the sweet lady from Texas as well as the handlebar mustached local man. We even had a highly skilled waiter who had learned his craft in Portland Oregon. he... More
