For an excellent burger or cheeseburger in a long-time Sedalia institution...go to Bud's. Just don't ask for fries! ;-)

Love the authentic, small town bar atmosphere that hasn't changed since 1948, not to mention piping hot, juicy burgers that simply cannot be improved upon. It's a friendly, cool place where everyone from cowboys to bikers to attorney's all enjoy the same experience. This place is a classic. I hope it never changes.

Its a great hole in the wall place with really friendly people and the best damn burger around. Excellent place to visit and check out if in the area. The beer is served at a perfect temp for me....really cold!! Love this place. No fries, only chips! Get the double cheeseburger with onions. Love this little place.

Great local food stop that is an icon for Sedalia. Even though it is a 25 min. drive for us, we have been going to this restaurant for over 25 years and the burgers have not changed a bit. They serve one of the best burgers in the world! It has a small local "time capsule" bar feel, Servers are... More

This is one of those places that become popular by word of mouth and spreads around the country as "you gotta go there". The kind of place I like to be in the loop with. Not fancy by any but the local standards but great burgers. Beer, soft drinks, spirits and chips, but "don't order fries damit" cause they don't... More

I have heard so many good things about Bud's that I couldn't remember why I'd not yet tried it. Last weekend, a friend and I ended up in Sedalia and decided to meet up there. The sign on the door reminded me immediately why I had not been previously. No Credit Cards. If you are headed for Bud's, bring cash,... More

Small so finding a table or seat at the bar can be difficult at times but don't let that stop you from visiting this rustic gem of a bar. Lots of memorabilia on the walls is fun to read and observe. Service is quick and friendly, the menu is limited to hamburgers and cheeseburgers only. They come steamed which makes... More

Only serves single and double hamburgers or cheese burgers and chips. No fries. I had asked what kind of cheeses they had, the waitress stood there and told me " honey, our cheese is square and yellow". With that, I had a cheese burger. Nothing fancy just down to earth.

This is an institution in Sedalia. The menu hasn't changed in more years than you can imagine. Hamburger; cheeseburger; double hamburger; double cheeseburger. No fries. Does come with yummy dill pickle and onions and old style steamed bun.
