We were looking for good food in a charming outdoor setting and found it at Currents. I had their fish taco special and loved it. My wife had one of their feature salads, and it was much larger than she expected. We ate outside but they also have indoor tables. The think we probably enjoyed most was the delightfully cheerful... This is the place for wine, beer, drinks to order and gourmet style food. It's always busy because it's a locals stop. It's pricey but it's worth the stop. Fresh fish, steaks and vegetables. Located in old downtown near the river. Try it we did and it was worth every penny.

The above I read in a review for another establishment, so we did that. Good advice! Wonderful late lunch here - George waited on us, senior tourists, first time in Salida, and was great. His descriptions and knowledge about the menu offerings and ingredients were very helpful. He treated us like regulars. As I'd seen raves about it in previous... More

I probably had the best hamburger I've ever eaten! It didn't require any condiments at all. I also had the fried calamari and french onion soup. The soup had a different flavor than the normal French onion, but was still delicious. I believe they used fennel seeds. The restaurant is dog friendly also. Our only complaint is that our server... A local friend suggested we check out Currents when I texted him for recommendations. I checked it out on Tripadvisor, where someone mentioned the LOBSTER QUESO, which was the clincher. I stopped in during the late afternoon to check out the menu, where I met Adrienne, the GM, chef, PR agent, and bus boy. I suspected we were in for... More

We popped in whilst passing for a quick lunch. Service was good, food very nicely cooked and presented. We were seated outside which is a little bit "by the side of the road", but all in all very nice.

Ordered a burger. It tasted microwaved. Is was greasy on the outside and raw in the middle. I asked for ketchup. The waitress pointed to my husbands plate where there wash tiny paper container with ketchup and said " you've got ketchup right there".

We ate at Currents on the 4th of July before watching the fireworks. The fish and chips were very good. The portion size was large and could be shared by two if you also have an appetizer such as the lobster queso and chips which was really good!

I ate here while on a solo bicycle trip through the mountains of Colorado. Each night I looked for a social place to be around people, and most importantly consume high quality, high quantity calories. Currents was great. The previous night in Aspen I dined and the #1 trip advisor rated restaurant White House Tavern. He reviews and staff rave... More

We chose this restaurant based on the reviews. It was way overpriced. Two people in our party had steaks and they had to be sent back to the kitchen as they were under cooked. The stroganoff had way too much pepper in it.
