Had lunch here with the family. Really nice setting right on the river. Fun to watch the kayakers and tubers float by. Service was very good. Got nachos for appetizer - very good. Had the Italian Sandwich with fries. Delicious. Really nice vibe.

You can't beat the view from the Boathouse Cantina in Salida, CO. Try to get a window view, as the river is stunning in the evening. If the weather is nice, ask your server to open the window for a nice breeze with your dinner....More

this is by far the best location for views of the river. The staff was great. The food was typical bar food that was good. We would go there again and again for the great staff and incredible views.

We stopped for lunch and had the ahi salad, shrimp taco, and fish taco, all excellent! It has plenty of seating and we got a seat by the river where we could watch a kayak competition and also the World Cup playing on TV.

Description
They may not share the same name, but the Arkansas River is essential Colorado. Its foamy rapids and tree-lined bends are a place where beauty and adventure meet, and we opened Boathouse Cantina on its banks to embody all things Colorado. From our locally sourced organic produce and grass-fed beef to the cozy and natural interior or our Salida cantina, everything we do is to honor the place we're lucky to call home and to serve the best to its people. Next time you find yourself taking in the beauty of the Arkansas River or exploring old Salida, head to the Boathouse Cantina, sit by the fire or on the patio, and enjoy some laid-back Colorado cuisine. We'll keep the beer cold.
