This is a small restaurant with amazing food. I had the rib platter which came with 4 large ribs, coleslaw and handcut french fries. My husband had sausage and ribs with coleslaw and baked beans. We both agreed that the portions were generous and the...flavors as good as anywhere we've eaten BBQ. The coleslaw was the best we've ever had - a light dressing instead of a heavy "gloppy" mixture. The French fries are handcut and crispy on the outside but moist on the inside. The meat was smoked to perfection - not too heavy - just right. It's rare where you can brag on the side dishes as much as the meat. We were there early afternoon and the service was excellent. We live about 1.25 hours away, and look forward to a return visit.More

The ribs were delicious - we're still craving them a week later, great smokiness and flavor. Everything we tried was so tasty - portions and price do not disappoint. If we were locals we'd be here every week!

Stopped in for take out, but learned that if you want to purchase brisket by the pound, you must order day before - which is understandable. So we opted for barbequed pulled brisket by the pound, a rack of ribs and a platter of the...brisket just so we could all taste it. I see why people say the brisket is so good - it is. While not Texas Road House fall off the bone tender, the ribs had a good, very smokey flavor. Was not wild about the barbeque pulled brisket flavor. Since we went with a Brisket Platter in order to have a little of that for everyone to taste, we also were entitled to two sides. If we were eating in, would have chosen french fries, but no matter which restaurant I only like fries nice and hot, not for "take out." So, we chose the chipotle potato salad and beans. Beans were okay, but none of the 7 of us cared for the potato salad. I might add that we tried this restaurant directly due to the on-air reccomendation of Jimmy Lakey, conservative radio personality we listen to. We heard him say he had tried this little barbeque place - all he could remember was Moe's Barbeque in Pagosa - and that he thought it was really good. Didn't want to leave without giving a try!More

Thank you for your review. The restaurant has changed owners since Jimmy Lakey visited us...although I was invited to witness the filming he did for a possible new show. As I recall, Jimmy tried our Southwest Brisket Sandwich.

Enjoyed brisket pulled pork sausage and all the trimmings. Sausage was a little spicy but very good.

Plenty to eat, excellent BBQ, and friendly service. Husband had the brisket and ribs platter. Best BBQ he's had in a long time! I had the BBQ Brisket sandwich. It was delicious! We were so happy that we found this place. We ate around 2...PM and didn't need to eat any dinner. Would definitely revisit next time we're in Pagosa Springs!More

generally very good, but service (and even some of the food) can be a little sporadic at times. Go early, as they don't stay open late (nothing in pagosa does).

We had just finished a hard days of stressful work as we were craving one of our favorite restaurants in our town. It would never disappointed but this time was different the Chile was good but was not Chile. The fries our favorite but they...were very soggy instead of the crispy we are use to. The brisket was served cold. Although the waitress was helpful and understanding she sent the food back and brought us another order it was warm but didn’t taste pleasant.More
