I live here in Pagosa, and often find myself swinging into River Point for it's iced lattes and kolaches. They never disappoint!

It is close the hot springs right across the bridge from the hotels. I had a very good breakfast burrito, my husband had a kolache which he felt was 'too bready', but then again, he hates anything with lots of dough on it. the coffee was good. sitting outside to enjoy the lovely CO morning was Very nice. the folks... I've visited this coffee shop many times the last several years while on vacation and have always good experiences. The location is convenient, the atmosphere is comfortable & pleasant, seating is varied & plentiful, the young woman who served me was friendly & patient (the other young woman working today was not very friendly and didn't make eye contact), coffee... Think of sipping perfectly crafted lattes on a balcony overlooking a steaming hot springs pouring into a cold mountain snow fed river. Think of being surrounded by the florescent colors of perfectly potted and hanging plants and a rustic, log cabin atmosphere. There, now you've pictured what we experienced.

I travel quite a bit for work and am a sucker for local coffee shops, so when I saw River Pointe across from my hotel I had to go. The coffee was incredible and the baristas were so sweet each time I went. I got the hazelnut raspberry latte and it was perfect, not too sweet and very well balanced.... More

We were at the River Pointe on July 4th. It was busy, busy, busy. But the service was wonderful and the employees were very friendly! The whole place was clean and attractive . The coffee is excellent and the pastries were fresh and delicious. We recommend it highly!

We have been visiting the River Point for years and it was our favorite place in Pagosa Springs. It sold last fall and although it is still good, it seems lacking on service compared to the past. The food seems higher for smaller portions. We will continue to go there but are disappointed in the changes that have taken place.

Good, but some changes not popular, now have to request coffee refill, and only get one. Frequently run out of food.

We're disappointed that you missed out on some of our goodies! After the change of ownership almost a year ago, we are now a coffee house rather than a cafe. Our focus is micro-roasted coffee from a small, Colorado roaster. All coffee now served contains no artificial flavors or chemical additives. We strive to provide not only good tasting, but... More
