Large portions of very good Mexican food and homemade Margaritas. Small cafe/bar in a strip mall. Free chips and salsa. Fine for families.

We asked our river guides if they new of a good place to eat near north Pagosa blvd. They recommended Chavalos. We had a party of eight and the food and margaritas are very good. We have a lot of Mexican food choices at home and now have a very good choice in Pagosa Springs.

We love this place and always take family and friends here. My favorite is the ceviche. Big portions, lot so tables and usually short wait times.

Loved everything about this place from the service, the food, to the locals who dine there. We actually spent our visit talking with the locals and took some advice as what to order and it was spot on. Definitely will return if ever in the area.

This place is hands down the best Mexican food around and it's been a regular for me for many years. I actually start to miss it and have withdrawals if it's been too long. It's a very casual environment with not much character but the food makes up for it. Breakfast is wonderful with amazing burritos, juevos rancheros, or an... More

Slow service, poor quality meat in the steak meal. Wish we had gone to the one recommended by our hosts. Lots of filler beans and rice added to chimichanga.
